Vehicle Detail

This is a fun car to drive and gets compliments wherever I take it. It is dependable, and can handle long distances as well as just cruising around town. Engine, Transmission have been rebuilt. Front suspension has new springs and many new parts. There is NO RUST in this car. Body was completely rebuilt by experts. The factory radio stopped working, and I figured a buyer might want to put a custom unit in the car, since the original is AM only. So there is no working radio in the car. Interior is new. New seats, new padded dash, new carpet, new door panels, and new steering wheel. Good tires with plenty of tread. All exterior chrome replaced. The car runs well on the highway, as well as on short trips. It's hard for me to understand the lack of interest in this car. I see others going for more that are not rebuilt back to the original, though they say they are. I see thee Mustangs with the claim that there was a frame off restoration. But the car has no frame. This is just one heck of a car, and in just about as good shape as when it rolled out of the plant and was put on the truck for delivery to a dealer. Maybe I'm just not the salesman that everyone else is... I dunno. I just have to sell it, though, frankly I hate to. There is a small cut in the top of the back seat, and a spot where the paint was skinned on the back near the taillight. These are shown in photos. The car is an excellent driving car. It's not quite a show car, but it wouldn't take much to get it there. Have to sell because I've moved and just don't have room for it. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up. $1,000 within 48 hours of auction close. Balance in escrow with title until the car is delivered. There is no way a person would fail to love this car! On Aug-30-12 at 10:57:11 PDT, seller added the following information: New photos: The engine compartment shot, one of them, shows the generator instead of an alternator. Thus was typical of the early Mustangs. Also note the guys who rebuilt the engine thought it would be nice to repaint the air cleaner and they painted it black It's supposed to be Ford Blue, with a 260 sticker on it. A can of blu paint and a sticker which can be got for around 5 dollars can fix that. The valve covers are not supposed to be chrome either, but that's if you want to show the car.In the trunk, you can see I have no spare. I have the original jack and lug wrench and a new tie down for the spare and Jack. The car has a new gas tank and fuel gauge. And a new radiator.
