This auction is for a RARE 68 Ford Fairlane 500 Fastback. This car is a documented 41,000 mile car. Someone over the years has pulled the engine and put a 351 4-speed in it. There are headers on it and a decent exhaust. Somebody who used to own this car had put an electric fuel pump on it and it backed up on them, caught on fire, and burnt the hood and one fender a little bit. There is another fender to put on the car. This car is dark green, but since the engine has been changed, this would be awesome painted red or black. With very little work, you could be driving a rare 60's muscle car. This car is exceptional. Inside the trunk the label is still attached to the inside of the trunklid explaining how the bumper jack works. The weather-stripping around the trunk and the doors are all really nice shape. Inside the trunk is the original trunk mat. This car is solid. The floorboards, the frame, inside the trunk, everywhere, it is solid. It has a few little minor dings. One little spot on the drivers quarter looks like it is trying to start to rust. The windows ALL work and function correctly. They are nice. Both windshied and back glass are nice. The interior carpet is missing and would need to be replaced. The door panels and seats are good, although there is a rip in the seam of the drivers seat. I believe the past owner was trying to turn this into a GT. You will see in the pix there are GT wheels, and a GT cowl induction. And the parts that are off of the car, are here. The only thing that I know it needs is a radiator. In just a few weeks you could have this at the next cruise-in in your town.
