Vehicle Detail

This cute little Italian convertible is in xlnt running condition and is in very good overall condition. It was originally purchased in Montana and has 66,005 original miles. The current owners dad was a diesel mechanic and rebuilt the motor, brakes, and other mechanical things just before he died so this car is ready to drive and have fun with. It has a 4 speed manual transmission. The black canvas top on it is in excellent condition and there is also a brand new in the box white JC Whitney canvas top. And also included is an original 1969 fiberglass hardtop that was made especially for this model in Long Beach, California. There is also an extra convertible top metal frame, and the original factory service manual. The body has been repainted the original red color but it is a poor quality paint job that the old man did himself, but I see no dents. He also replaced both the driver & passenger floors with a high quality steel and put fresh carpeting over them. The only other rust is under the battery box and my closeup picture shows that its about the size of a baseball and could easily be patched up. All of the lights, guages, and electrical work fine except the horn clicks when you try to use it so it will need the contacts cleaned. All of the trim pieces are present & original except for the passenger side Bertone emblem is missing the little insert part as shown, and the two clear plastic license plate light lenses are missing (they were mounted in the center bumper ends, but the lights still work fine). The interior is in overall clean condition and the original seats are still in very good condition. Steering wheel is original and in very good condition (has slip on cover in the pictures). The dash is very good. The old man installed an AM/FM cassette deck through the glove box door and it works well and even has six Bose speaker cubes installed and sounds great. The top of the dash board has some cracks but could be easily restored. The windshield has a deep scratch on the passenger side from a worn out wiper blade. The side windows are in very good condition and the glass on both the canvas top & the hardtop are excellent. The original interior side panels are still very good. There is a spare tire up front. Has the original Weber carburetor. The original mechanical fuel pump is still present but has been bipassed by a more efficient electric fuel pump. This little car has a 80" wheelbase and measures a short 12.5 feet overall, but the seats are very generously sized and will fit people up to about 6'2" and 240 lbs. approximately. Car is currently registered in Oregon until 2013 and is ready to drive with no known problems. $500.00 deposit by Paypal (or other prearrangement) within 24 hours of end of auction and payment in full within 3 days of end of auction by check, money order, or cash in person.
