Vehicle Detail

1968 Firebird with the original 350, 320 Horse power HO engine that came with the car, the block code is WK, it has the original # 18 heads and original 4 bbl carb. original 4 speed trans and the original 3.36 safety trac HD rear end. The car has the Rally Gauge Cluster. I have the original hand written order form where it was ordered right here in Albany Oregon. The car is the original color of Verduro Green with a black cordova topand black interior. The car has bucket seats with a console. The original Rally II wheels are on the car minus 3 center caps that came off on my drive home with it, Yep I was mad, even went and looked for them.......I have the build sheet that I found under the back seat, it is hardly readable, I am going to take it to work and look at it through a microscope. I have the original owners manual, owner protection plan book and the owner Identification and new vehicle warranty booklet that came with this car. The engine code on the owner booklet is WK343151 which is the original engine that is in the car, what better way to prove the originality of this vehicle. I will try to get better pictures of the block numbers and post them, if you dont see them get posted email me and I will send them to you. The car was owned by the same family since new, It took me 6 months working on the son of the original owner to get this car. The car was used as a driver until about 5 years ago when I bought it. It has been sitting outside since then, it was under cover at the first owners house. I had plans of restoring this car right after my GTO, times have changed and the GTO still isnt finished and I'm not sure I will get to it anytime soon. My youngest daughter is getting older and had her choice of which car she wanted and she picked the 64 1/2 Mustang convertible over the Firebird so the Mustang gets restored. The paint on the car is tired, the interior is tired mostly the front seats, The floors are in great shape, the trunk has some surface rust but nothing through, this is due to the deck lid not sealing due to the car being backed into a pole, you can see the damage in the pics, a very easy repair and I have a OEM deck lid that came off a newly restored then wrecked Firebird here in town. There is some bubbling under the vinyl roof. The front corner of the valance has some rust which is from the battery because it sits right above that area. The door windows are original with the Firebird etched in the glass. The only thing not original in the car is the radio, but the dash has not been cut. The antenna is missing from the rear of the car and a custom car shop here in town added power steering for the original owner. The car has dual exhausts and runs very well, I drive it to work from time to time. I have never seen a 350 HO car with all the original drive train in it, this car, in my opinion is a rare find due to the low production numbers. The car was ordered with the HO stripe delete option. The car was ordered with the 8 track player which is no longer with the car...SAD.... Please read the PHS docs and order form I have provided in the pictures, if you have any problems reading the docs or if there is something I missed please contact me, I dont want anything overlooked if you are bidding on the car...Please ask questions! If I think of anything else about the car I will add it to the listing. Remember this car is probably one of the most complete 350 HO cars around, a perfect driver while fixing up or a beautiful show car after restored. If you are curious as to what the car is worth you can use www.nada.com as an example, we all know that nada is a little high in the estimates but this car should be getting close. Remember you are bidding on a car that needs no floors, quarter panels or fenders which we all know are very expensive to replace and almost impossible to find new old stock, you will be thousands ahead if you plan to do a complete reastoration. Thanks for looking and please ask questions. If you are serious, email me with your phone number and I will gladly chat with you about the car. RoyOn Aug-31-12 at 19:18:09 PDT, seller added the following information:I have lowered the reserve when the bidding got to $7800.00 The next bid will have met the reserve. Happy bidding!
