I am the original owner of this Mustang 5.0. I don't really want to sell it but my wife has waged a relentless 15+ year campaign to get rid of it - so here's your chance to make my wife the happiest woman alive!! The car is very solid and is driven regularly - would be fine as a daily driver or for restoration project. I have full maintenance records from day 1. Drivetrain: The engine is PERFECT - runs and sounds great. Transmission and clutch are very good - smooth shifting, no issues. Full stainless Magnaflow exhaust system gives the car a deeper V8 sound compared to stock without being annoyingly loud (I still have the original stainless exhaust tips also). Suspension, alignment and tires are all very good. Paint: The paint is tired - fine for a daily driver but would need fresh paint and trim work for restoration. Interior: Dash and carpet are in very good condition. Leather seats have numerous splits, tears etc. Again, fine for daily use but the seat covers would need to be replaced for restoration. Convertible top: Has two small holes that have been patched - doesn't leak. Probably need a new one in the near future. In the interest of full disclosure, I'll try to list all the little issues typical of a car this age: - Rocker switch that controls the side-view mirrors doesn't work - I just adjust them by hand. - I never used the air conditioning much and as a result the coolant depleted. The system functions fine but I never bothered to refill the coolant. - Fuel gauge reads completely full until the car has about 2-3 gallons left, then it reads normally. This is a baffling issue but has never caused a problem. - Passenger side exterior door handle is slightly loose - has to be pulled just right to open the door. (inside handle works fine). - About a year ago my next door neighbor backed out of his driveway and managed to clip the drivers side-view mirror. Mirror was replaced but there is a small wrinkle in the sheet metal - the kind of thing you wouldn't notice unless you look closely.
