Vehicle Detail

1977 Porsche 911S Targa, Burgundy with Tan interior with 3.0 liter SC Sport tuned engine (originally built by Johnson Autosports, Shakopee, MN)(2006, $4400), Rebuilt 5 speed 915 transmission ($912), new gas tank, new clutch and throttle cables, and brake lines ($380). The car chassis has 111585 original miles on it, spent a lot of time in Arizona, always garaged and has been well maintained with many upgrades. Comes with indoor cover, tools, new floor mats and hood bra. Clear Virginia title. Due to personal family issues, this car has been stored in a garage for quite a while. When I started it up last time, there was heavy white smoke continually coming from the exhaust. I’ve been told that it is possibly a stuck piston oil ring but that has not been confirmed. The car is sold as is with lots of new parts and money already invested. It is probably worth more parting out than selling outright. I don’t have the time or abilities to take this on right now. This would make a great car/project for the right person. 3.0 liter engine, (From 1980 SC) – Center bored, new bearing, 3.2L Turbo oil pump, Carrera chain tensioners, Donovan Automotive DC40 cams, new PMO 40mm Carbs ($4000), new BBS Stainless Steel exhaust/heat exchangers ($900) turbo valve covers, MSD CD box with 6500 RPM rev-limiter and high output MSD Blaster coil, Magnacore (8.5mm) competition ignition wires, 1978 mechanical distributor (Rebuilt)($380), with magnet pickups and new intermediate shaft, one piece cam chains, 11 blade cooling fan, billet aluminum deep sump and drain, new oil lines (Elephant Racing finned lines, carrera front oil cooler ($1500). 915 Transmission – New 1st gear, replaced all synchros, new clutch disc and cabling, replaced CV joints and boots($275), Wevo shift gate, all bushings replaced. Interior – Rebuilt gauges, white with Boxster font and LED lights done by North Hollywood Speedometer ($800). Dash redone is Brazilian Rosewood. Rennsport aluminum floor boards, Jensen CD Stereo, stainless steel door sills, new floor mats. Exterior – New tinted windshield, Upgraded H4 headlights, original targa top recovered in good condition. Suspension – Updated 28mm torsion bars, front and back stabilizers, new wheel bearings, strut tower brace, targa body braces ($308), Boxster 16 inch rims with new Kuhmo 205/60ZR-16 Ecsta SPX tires ($1500). Brakes – Upgraded system with newly rebuilt Boxster brake calipers, Pagid pads, TRE boxster brake conversion kit, new hardlines, stainless steel DOT flexible lines and a new Porsche 23mm master cylinder and booster. ($3200). Body – Last of the narrow bodies, straight body, no accidents, no rust, no major blemishes (minor dent is front lower valence), previous owner used a plasticized primer that has produced some small cracks in the paint. Also included are a set of 16" refinished Fuchs wheels (16x6, 16x7), fronts will need wheel spacers to clear larger brakes. Over $22k invested, many receipts included, Lots of new expensive parts and tons of potential! I will assist in shipping this 911 across country and overseas to Europe. Import duty in Europe through Netherlands has just dropped to 6%. Please be aware that this car is 35 years old and will be sold as is without any warranty. The car is also listed for sale locally and seller reserves the right to end the auction early and cancel any bids should the car sell before the auction ends. Mid year 911's are affordable and finally getting recognized as collectable and their values are greatly appreciating! 912 RS
