I recently purchased this GT BARN FIND fastback which had been stored since approximately 1982. I took a chance after inspecting this car which was not running, but could not pass it up due to the rarity of the total package of options and condition. The motor turned over by hand, and the car had all its origional body panels and drive train. The body only has light surface rust on the bottom of the floors. NO RUST REPAIR to do. The origional 4100 Autolite 4bbl carb, intake, motor with engine tag, Toploader 4-speed and exhaust were on the car. The Origional fog lights, Deluxe door panels, Woodgrain dash and center console add to the rarity of this real low mileage fastback. The car also has the origional styled steel wheels. The Kelsey Hayes for piston disc brakes with the Shelby master cylinder and Kelsey Hayes proportioning valve work great. When I purchased the car I drained the oil, trans gear oil, radiator and fuel system. I replaced the gas tank with a origional 1965 Ford gas tank, added fresh gas and a battery and started the car right up. It quickly began to smooth out and is running great. I also replaced the rear wheel cylinders and the exhaust from the "H" pipe back. I have been driving the car back and fourth to work to make sure it is dependable. It drives amazingly well for a car that has sat for so long and that is 46 years old. A great find and a TRULY an INCREDIBLE car for you to restore.
