Vehicle Detail

Selling TWO 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlasses. FIRST : is a very rare special order car. Ordered from the factory with 350 W-31 option, Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, Hurst T-handle shifter and a factory ordered 60/40 split bench seat. W-31's were rated from the factory at 325 horse power for insurance purposes. The W-31 would make 360 horse power at top end in factory condition. There were only about 930 of these built in 1969, the majority of which were automatics, making this a truly rare car. This car has been parked for several years and has had packrats invade it. It is in rough condition, but overall solid and will be a great restoration project. Front fenders have small amount of rust behind wheelwells. There is not an excessive amount and are patchable. Left rear quarter needs replaced, right rear quarter could be replaced or patched. All glass is intact and in good condition. Floor pans are generally solid with one small hole where heel rests at gas pedal. Hole is roughly 1 inch x 3 inches in size. Dual-snorkel breather for Ram-Air is still intact. Ram-Air scoops and ductwork missing. Original inner fenders with cutouts for Ram-Air still in place. Original front brakes have been replaced with disc brakes from 1970-72 Cutlass. Clear title, have keys. Actual mileage is unknown. Please see pictures and/or contact for more information. SECOND: 1969 Cutlass S parts car. This is the BLUE car in the pics. Base model 350 motor, 2-speed Jetaway transmission (stored in trunk). This car has also been parked for years and has been invaded by packrats. This car was purchased as a parts car to supplement the W-31, primarily for trunk lid and dash, which are still in good condition. Many other useful parts as well. This car came from factory with bucket seats with white over black interior. Glass except for windshield is good. These cars will be sold as-is, with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for any hauling or shipping costs. Seller reserves the right to end this auction before auction close if a sale is made locally. Contact to make arrangements to view cars or for more information. On Aug-21-12 at 18:51:01 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More information about the W-31: More photos are added. PLEASE NOTE: THE FIRST AND SECOND PHOTOS (THEY ARE THE SAME) OF INTERIOR IS OF THE PARTS CAR, WHICH IS AN AUTOMATIC!!!!!!!!!! I have added a photo of the interior of the W-31 which shows it is a 4-speed manual transmission with an original (specially ordered) 60/40 split bench seat. Additional information: This is DEFINITELY a NUMBERS MATCHING original W-31 car! I have added as many more pics as I can. PLEASE EMAIL IF YOU WANT A PHOTO OF SOMETHING SPECIFIC! Original dealer paperwork will be included with the W-31 car. There is an "Oldsmobile Production Code 'B' 1969 form that identifies the car as a "W31 Perform Opt T60-350 CU.IN." and verifies the VIN numbers on the paperwork and the car match. See new scanned documents in listing. There is also an original Oldsmobile Maintenance Record Card, an original "options and accessories" booklet, Oldsmobile "Protect-O-Plate" (warranty card), an original Oldsmobile 1969 New Vehicle Warranty Owner and Protection Plan with original owner, dealer, VIN and date of purchase on it, and a plastic glove box sleeve for the documents. YES, THIS IS A REAL 1969 W-31, WITH 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION! The engine has the VIN number stamped on a raised surface towards the front of the driver's side of the block. Numbers match! Unable to get a picture that is very readable, but I can send what I was able to get in email if you would like. Rear end is 12-bolt. It is an "O" type rear end with box control arms. I searched for markings, but have been unable to locate any so far. But, I have had this car for 25 years and my brother had it for 6 years prior to that, believe I was only the 4th owner. To the best of my knowledge the rear end is original. There was no visible tag with gear ratio, but there is a tag stating to use limited slip lube only. It always put down nice, even black marks with the tires! Harmonic balancer is PRESENT. It measures approximately 1 7/8 inches in total depth, and the smaller ring is approx 3/4 inch in depth. There are front and rear sway bars present. The transmission has VIN number on driver's side, numbers matching the car, and has in the casting on the passenger's side number 3925660 and "US Patent 3088336, General Motors Corp". There is a Hurst T-handle shifter in the car. It has the original Ram-Air cutouts in both BLACK plastic inner fenders. Washer fluid reservoir is on the passenger's side and is present and in good condition. The data plate is present and in good shape (see photo). Both heads are marked with a large "5" on the ends, denoting W-31 heads. Thank you for your interest! Please let me know if there are any more questions, I'm happy to answer them!
