We purchased this Acadia for the gas mileage savings and to replace a full sized SUV we took on trips. In fact the first week we owned the Acadia we took it on a 1,500 mile road trip through Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP. The full moon roof was amazing for the views and we averaged nearly 20mpg up and down the mountain passes! We like the Acadia, and the fuel economy is WAY BETTER than our Full Sized SUV. We have teen age boys that are over 6 foot tall and teen age girls that pack a ton of luggage, we travel a bunch and we run out room when we have 6 of them in the car on a long trip. We typically travel several thousand miles a month and found the Acadia to be a pleasure to drive with no mechanical issues and the fuel economy saved us a ton of cash on trips.. We have 4 other vehicles and the Acadia was our trip vehicle.. There is only one thing I would recommend getting done to the Acadia, GM has a bulletin (10-08-44-006 OCT 10 Navigation - Report Missing/Inaccurate Nav. Map Info), without this update the map does not have the new roads in our area and the navigation shows "Map Read Error" when you drive in area without the updates.
