Up for auction is my 1972 BMW 2002tii Sunroof Coupe. OK, here goes.... Divorce forces sale of my 1972 tii. I have owned and enjoyed the car for 15 years. About six years ago, I decided to begin a restoration on the car. Plans were to change the color from black back to the origional Inca Orange, freshen up the engine, install a five speed transmission. I wanted to have a solid base to begin with so I took the car up to Sports Car Restorations in Plainville, CT. www.sports-cars-restoration.com Anyone involved with 2002's in the Northeast (and beyond) recognizes this shop to be one of the best sports car restoration shops in the country (majority of work on 2002's). Matt McGinn and his crew simply do incredible work and have a great passion for these cars. SCR completed the following work: New Factory BMW Frame Rails (Left and Right) New Front Floors (Left and Right) New Inner and Outer Rocker Panels (Left and Right) New Rear Wheel Arches (Left and Right) While the above mentioned work was done, the engine and interior were removed from the car and remain out of the car. I picked the car up, brought it home and it has remained in the garage since. I have been gathering up new and used parts over the years for completion, but life got in the way and unfortunately for me, I must sell . I want the project to go to an enthusiastic 2002 fan that loves these cars as much as I do.
