Vehicle Detail
This 1930 Vicky is a survivor car from southern California with the black and yellow plates issued in 1963 (see picture). The California title stated that the car was sold new in 1931. The previous owner believed that the car had been registered continuously in California since at least 1963. The car has been updated with a 12 volt alternator, turn signals, temp gauge and a new pressurized radiator and coolant recovery tank. The floor mat is new and the wheels have been replace with the 1935 style with V8 hubcaps and big'n'little tires for a rubber rake. The headlight bar has been replaced with a dropped bar. I have the original bar and it will come with the car. The engine number is correct for 1930 and starts and runs great with no smoke or weird noises. I have not lifted the body to check to see if the frame number matches the engine number. There is a heater box on the exhaust that works pretty well. The original patina looks good all though there are some paint repairs on the hood (which is wavy) and part of the rear body. The roof is original and in useable shape. The interior has replacement black cardboard panels and a new headliner. There is a '32 spreader bar across the front to mount the license plate rather than hanging it from the light bar. I have not found any rust on the car and all of the windows roll up and down as they should. The windshield sticks a bit when closed but works fine other wise. I've owned the car for about two years and the Vicky runs and drives very well with no issues. I have driven it to car shows and around town during 100 degree weather with no problems. I bought the car to turn into a street rod but liked it too well to change the original feel of the car. I'm selling it now because I have too many projects and need the room. The car is stored inside under a car cover and is available for inspection. Just email me with a phone number and I'll call you to set up a time to inspect the car. I'll answer any questions as soon as I can and take additional photos if needed. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I will assist in loading in any way I can.
