THE OVERVIEW Offered for an appreciating new owner is this ultra rare 1972 Rover four-door Coupe Saloon! Finished in what appears to be original white with redone grey roof, this super original right hand drive classic Rover sedan is a great find for someone who wants to bring it back to its original glory. That someone would NOT be me! This is a four-door coupe as it is called. Similar in spirit I would say to the four-door coupes like the newer VW CC, the new Audi A7 or the BMW 645i Gran Sport. Maybe it was ahead of its time forty years ago! With that said, this car had the same Los Altos. CA. owner for the last 25+ years. It has been sitting for the last 5 or so. It has the 3.5 liter V8 engine mated to a factory automatic transmission. It does NOT currently start or run, though the little red lights come on when you turn the key. It has clear title, two sets of keys, tattered sliding ragtop roof, pull-out shelf and lots more. It is structurally rust-free and has lots of good chrome [beautiful grille!] and looks to be a great foundation for someone to fix up or at minimum a great parts car for someone with a similar car. It will come with original manual as well as repair manual and a few extra parts in the trunk. I say "junk in the trunk". The paint is worn and cracked, it has Michelin tires [old]. the interior is all there but has LOTS of Patina.
