BARN FIND – Project Car 1959 Volkswagen sedan Stored for more than 20 years, this 1959 VW surfaced after the death of the barn's owner. Offered by the original owner who formally lived at this residence, the VW was running when the 1971 Super Beetle engine was removed for a valve job. The engine is pictured and is complete less carburetor. The engine (uninstalled) is included with the car. The car is largely intact and shows little rust (but does have some Bondo areas) having spent its life in Colorado which uses mostly sand and scoria for snow covered roads. Low humidity year round makes this area a fine place to store a car. The car is a great candidate for restoration and would require a minimum of new parts to get it running. Approximately 33,000 miles on the engine. Car is sold as-is, where is and buyer is responsible for all removal and transportation costs. No warranty is offered or implied. Considering the overall condition of this car, it would make a lot of sense for the buyer be within a reasonable driving distance.
