Vehicle Detail

2009 VW Jetta TDI Sportswagen DSG - ALL OPTIONS + Full Service History + VW Extended Warranty until 100,014 miles of 2/3/2016! You are bidding on my daily driver, all highway milage VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI with DSG transmission This sin't your ordinary auction for another off-lease or dealer trade-in VW. I'm a diehard German car fanatic and, as you read the description for this car, I'm sure you'll gain a better appreciation for it. I'm selling my beloved car because I moved to Miami Beach in April of this year and work less than three blocks away. Since I moved here, the car has been driven a total of 900 miles. I recently purchased a Mercedes SL that will be my daily driver. This car has been meticulously maintained. The paint shines like new, the interior looks and smells like new, and all service records are up to date. Most people who ride in it ask how I've kept the new car smell. Its easy: long stretches of continuous, smoke-free, food-free, and pet-free driving on flat Southern roads followed by garage parking both at home and the office. I bought this car because of my weekly commutes between my offices that averaged 110 miles each way. I was one of the first adopters of VW's new Clean Diesel Jetta Sportwagen TDIs. I was on a waiting list to get just the car I wanted: Uni Black on Pure Beige V-Tex interior with EVERY option you could order. On February 3, 2009, my 8-month wait came to an end when the car arrived at Gossett VW of Memphis, TN and It's been pampered ever since. The car has spent its entire life in Mississippi (minus the last four months in Miami) cruising the wide open, flat 4-lane roads between Cleveland, Oxford, and Jackson, Mississippi in a completely temperate and road salt-free environment. I bought this car for two reasons. One, I have two other diesel cars, both Mercedes-Benzs, and know the advantage of diesels on the highway: good torque and passing power, and excellent milage. Two, I love the utility and safety this car offers. I can fit more luggage than a Ford Explorer, cruise with the HUGE sunroof open to feel like I'm in a convertible, and maneuver like I'm in a proper German sports sedan; all while getting 35 city and 50 highway MPG (your milage may vary but that's what I've been getting) and having 10 Airbags, ABS, EBC, ESP and a host of other safety features at my aid should anything go wrong. Not to mention, diesel cars don't explode in sever crashes since dielse's flash point is much higher than gasoline's - a safety feature not often touted. To this day, 90% of all new Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagens are specified with the TDI engine for these reasons. Let's move to the extras…Since this was a build-to-order car, I was able to option everything I wanted. Torso airbags and pyrotechnic retractors with belt force limiters for both outboard back seats - CHECK, 12.8 sq/ft. Panoramic Sunroof - CHECK, Factory 17" Avignon wheels - CHECK, RNS-510 Navigation System - CHECK. What I couldn't add when ordering that Europeans could, I bought and had installed: VW Auto-dimming mirror with compass, Genuine VW Tamo Ash real wood inserts, Euro anti-glare mirrors with convex anti-blind spot features, upgraded DVD Navigation System firmware with 2011-2012 maps with red-light and camera trap positions and live Sirius Traffic updates (FW 1140), video-in-motion DVD playing, and a VW chrome rear accent strip on the tailgate. Service…German cars are built to last forever when properly maintained. EVERY maintenance required plus many preventative ones that were not have been performed by the book. I have every service record and receipt since the day the car was new. Check out the photos of the service book and ask any other seller if he or she can produce the same. I even had the dealer program certain "European Only" features like auto-open/close of the sunroof and windows with the remote key fob and navigation screen settings to "Premium". Rear break pads were replaced and rotors resurfaced at 50K. I replaced the tires at 51,000 miles (16K ago) wiht the originally specified Continental ContiProContacts for $960. They still had 30% tread life left but I take handling and tread wear seriously. Currently, the tires have 80% tread left and the factory spare and tools are unused. About 2 months ago, I felt a drop of water on my left foot while driving in a downpour. It was diagnosed as a clogged drain for the sunroof. I had all 6 drains cleaned and drainage nipples replaced for $600. I also had the battery replaced at the last service with a new Genuine VW battery after testing showed 25% life left. The alignment was also done at that time. I have rotated the tires every 10K along with an alignment at the same time. ALL of these services and recalls have been completed at either Gossett VW of Memphis, TN; Jackson Imports of Jackson, MS, Royal VW, of Birmingham, AL; or Esserman VW of Miami, FL The car has never even been driven north of Memphis, TN so rust will never be an issue. The car drives completely straight, the DSG shifts lighting quick (faster than any conventional manual with better MPG), no warning lights have ever illuminated, and the AC, heat, and heated seats are awesome! I only have one gas credit card, Royal Dutch Shell, and it's only had Shell Diesel at fill ups. Shell is listed by the government as a "Top Tier" supplier of gasoline and diesels in the U.S. meaning they are one of the few distributors who ensure quality additives and lubricants are included with ever gallon they sell. This car has never had to make an unexpected visit to the dealer, meaning it's been the most dependable piece of machinery I've ever driven. Having had nine cars, that's saying a lot! I've attached photos of all service stamps in the book. If you'd like a complete list of everything ever addressed at the VW dealerships, please ask and I'll be happy to scan and e-mail them to you. Car care…I hand wash this car weekly with Meguiar's auto shampoo and micro-fiber cloths. Every 3 months, I reseal the paint finish by hand using Klasse Sealant Glaze (German). Every 6-months, I clay bar the car and reseal it. I have never polished the car so the paint is as thick and shinny as the day it left the factory! The interior is bullet-proof. I use a mild soapy warm water and a damp cloth to clean the seats, trim and carpets. This was the last year for this color combo (Black over Pure Beige) to be offered. '10-'12 VW all use a very generic interior color called "Corn Silk Beige" - a washed out beige that can be had on many GM, Ford, and Hyundai products. If you want this classic German color combo, you'll have to buy a new Audi who still offers it. Overall, you'd be hard-pressed to find another car this clean or well maintained. And finally…It's under WARRANTY until 2/3/2016 or 100, 014 miles!!! (3.5 years/33,000 miles or about the same as most NEW car warranties)! No ordinary warranty like those pushed by third parties or shady dealers either. It's the top-of-the-line Volkswagen Platinum Drive Easy Extended Warranty offered only when you purchase a new VW from an authorized VW dealer. This means you are covered for the next 36K miles or until Feb. 3, 2016 against ALL mechanical failures. I'll e-mail anyone interested the complete VW extended warranty policy. There is a $40 transfer fee from VW that the new owner will be responsible for. It must be transferred within 30 days of the bill of sale. What's not to like about this ride? Tons of extra's, full service history, warranty, and great fuel economy. I'll tell you the only blemishes and point them out in exacting details: two door dings on the driver's side (less than .025" each with no paint damage), a 2" sq. grocery cart dimple on the passenger's side rear door (no paint damage) and two repaired paint scratches (one 6" on the passenger's side rear quarter panel and a 4" double scratch on the driver's side rear plastic bumper skirt) from moving a friend's furniture one weekend (see photos). The interior is COMPLETELY scratch, stain, and odor-free! Those are the only negatives on a car full of positives and extras!!!
