Finished in white pearl over black interior, this 1966 GTO features the 400 cubic inch V8 engine with 4 barrel carb mated to the factory 4 speed manual transmission. It is a 99.9% rust-free example and an original code 242 car. It is not officially "munbers mayching" in that it has a 1968 400 engine]. It sports rallye wheels with good rubber, bucket seats with center console. It will be sold with clear and clean California with current registration. This car is smog-exempt in this state due to the year [pre-1976]. It comes with the original exhaust manifold and a few other extra parts. THE BODY AND TRIM As I hope is articulated in the photos here, the body, trim and paint of this GTO are in very good to excellent condition overall with a few miscellaneous small blemishes, nicks, cracks and imperfections. There is a crack on the right side of the windshield, some hazing on the rear window glass as well. Overall I would rate this as a great looking "ten-footer" for sunny weekend drives or local car shows. THE INTERIOR The interior of this car is in very good condition overall! The gauges all work well, the five-digit odometer shows 11.XXX miles though the actual mileage of this car cannot be 100% verified. The horn is inop, the radio powers up with no sound, the heater hoses are not connected. . THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This classic Pontiac starts, runs and drives very well with EXCELLENT BIG V8 POWER, firm and precise shifting with the 4 speed transmission, good braking with secure pedal feel and fairly confident handling. This car easily smokes the tires through the first two gears with a satisfyling American V8 rumble.
