1962 Ford Ranchero!!!Ford 302 Motor- C4 Automatic Transmission Ok folks heres your chance to own a nice old cruiser. I bought this truck to drive to cruise ins and car showsahile I was working on my other car(63 ranchero). I am now ready to sell this truck. The running gear came from a 1974 maverick and is a stock 302 and c4 auto trans. It also has the front spindles and 8" rearend from the maverick to make the v-8 conversion complete. This car is totally stock but is pretty quick because of the weight. Only 2 mechanical issues I know of is 1-my mechanic said it may need a new modulator valve. Reason being it has little free play from second to drive and shifts very quickly. It does not slip any. And it doesnt do it every time. 2- starter may eventually need replacing due to dragging a little. I have driven it all over town with no issues or breakdowns. Look at gauges in pics. Water temp never over 195 even on 95 degree days in town. And oil temp 40lbs at idle cold or hot and 50-60 going down road. If your looking for a perfect car please look somewhere else because this isn't the one for you, but if you want a nice little cruiser or do a little work and have a show car then you've found it. If I was to do anything else I would add the after market speedo and gauges to free up the radio hole. Speedo in car not working not sure if its cable or what. truck floor pans have been replaced before with pans and not just sheet metal. Small holes in inspection area of bed unnoticed unless removed. Bed has Spray liner in it. Worst rust in car is by the key for some reason.(see pic) Wheels snd tires are brand new 14" american racing and bf goodrichIf by any means you have a question please call me I will gladly answer them.
