Up for auction is a very good to excellent example of a 1991 Porsche 911 (962) Carrera Cabriolet that was donated to a nationally renowned charitable foundation that I personally support. As a favor to them I occasionally assist with the liquidation of high end donations such as this Porsche. My disclaimer is as follows. Being a donation there is no history, previous maintenance records or any information other than what is contained herein. My description provided below is based on my personal observation only and is not a guarantee of condition nor implies any kind of warranty. No mechanical inspection has been performed and the vehicle is sold in as is and where is condition. The car has obviously been well cared for despite its vintage and mileage. The paint is in excellent condition. The top is in very good to excellent condition with the exception of the rear plastic window which is oxidized. The interior is in average condition with some discoloration and tears in the seats (see photos), however, these could probably be repaired very easily. The most important component of the car is the engine. The car starts, runs and drives very nicely with no evidence of any mechanical issue. In fact the car passed the stringent California smog test on 08/03/12! This is an indication that the engine is operating efficiently and normally. The car is being sold with a low starting price. It will sell the highest bidder regardless of the final price. It will not be sold outside the auction.
