Up for auction is a 2 owner 2000 VOLVO S70 SEDAN, I just picked this car up from a coworker last week with the intention of using the the car as a spare to run back and forth to work and had a change of plans when A friend bought over his quad. The car was driven by my coworkers wife and purchased as a 3rd car in the household to run around with. Car was always maintained and cleaned, The car has over $2000 in recent receipts. I will add a detailed list further down in this description of all the recent work. Car has mostly highway miles and it’s a Volvo one of the safest and most reliable vehicles out there. To be honest I was a little nervous when I saw the miles but after driving this car down the turnpike and taking a look around I could not believe this car had 200k + for miles. Take a look on ebay at other Volvos, read the forums and reviews these cars go the miles. I also encourage any persons interested in the car to come down and take a look in person. If possible bring your mechanic, dad/mom, brother, uncle,----- whom ever you would like to look the car over. The car is not registered but I have a old plate on the vehicle and I live in a pretty quiet neighborhood with big parking lot close by so going for a test drive around should not be a problem…. If there are any questions at all feel free to contact me anytime, I also don’t have a issue talking on the telephone either…just email me with a number and I would be happy to call… The body of the car is in great shape for a 13 year old vehicle, from 10 feet away it looks fantastic but as you get closer you will start to see some nicks and dings here and there… The panels are super straight and the paint still has a lot of life . most of the dings on this car could be easily taken out by a paintless dent removal tech, I had a ding on my 02 ram 1500 that was taking out in about 10 minutes and it looks like nothing was ever there.. The back corner of the bumper has a couple scuff marks and the front bumper has a couple chips and scuff marks. On the passenger side on the passenger door where it meets the back door there is a ding and some scratches---please take a look through the photos---overall if I could give this body a number on a scale to 1---10, it would be strong 7 * the car fax report states the vehicle was in a accident and I asked the person who owned the car last stated that the car had a little scrape on the passenger side door---not even enough to loose paint.. very minor incident however it was reported*) The interior of this car is super clean, this vehicle has 2 tone cloth/vinyl seats that look really good. The 2 front seats are the only seats that show wear, the drivers seat has some cracking and the passenger seats have a few stain spots (I will try to spot clean before it’s sold) the front heated seats work well and the drivers seat is power with memory features. The back seats look excellent almost like they have never been sat in. the door panels on all four doors look great with minimal wear, the dash also looks great with no cracking or discolor. The interior mats and carpet also look very good with minimal discolor and stains---the trunk space is great and also looks super clean with minimal wear and tear/ the donut spare and tools are all there and looked unused for the most part…Options and equipment in this car include power driver seat with memory control per 3 drivers, cd/cassette (good sounding stereo) power moon/sunroof/heated seats/cruise/pwr windows/pwr locks/ instrument direction/ slippery driving mode/ and more and the best part is everything works..Windows go up and down, sun/moon roof opens and closes, radio and cd/tape play/ Air conditioning is ice cold/ heats works as it should/ heated seats come on/ instrument cluster works / The interior of this car with the exception of the driver’s seat having some cracking and wear looks excellent….I noticed the drivers side door panel has loose spot and it might need a moulding clip pushed back in… The motor in this car is a 2.4 litre non turbo 5 cylinder, The motor from my opinion runs and sounds great. When drove the car home I took it up on the turnpike and filled it up with fuel ($44 by the way) and cruised home at 65mph.. everything felt good the motor was responsive and the automatic transmission shifted through gears just like it should. the vehicle stopped as it should, drove through city streets as it should everything tight there was not play or wobble in the steering wheel. I heard a little squeaking from the brakes while driving on the street however there is a recent receipt for new rotors, pads, brake hoses and calipers on the front end and the rear pads and rotors were installed a little while back as well.. it might just be from sitting for a few weeks The following day when I got home I checked all fluids in the car and everything was topped off and on the line…Brake fluid was good and at level Coolant was also good and at level Transmission fluid was at level and still had that red color..Power steering was at level and looked cleanOil was also at level…car shows to be due for a oil change as it’s last record was for 207,350 miles—car runs 5w30 synthetic oil as per receipt from last oil change I also looked underneath the car to check for any leaks and did not see a spot of tranny fluid or oil The tires on the car are fairly new and have really good tread left--- Here Is a List of the recent receipts and dates/mileage if applicable ( I have all the receipts and the winning bidder will get them with the car) radiator $500 at 197k milesblower motor $140 lifetime warranty 5-4-11battery and terminals $140 185k miles pep boys 72 month warrantyexhaust system $755 1/13/2010tire rotation/air filter/fuel filter/fuel system cleaning,204k miles $205two new tires/tie rod end left side, wheel alignment/wheel balance/ front brake rotors/brake hoses/calipers/pads 197k miles $1278.00rotors/pads rear est 190+k miles 3-12-2011o2 sensor 198k miles $2752 rear tires/ thermostat/ serpentine belt 187k miles $498Cabin air filter $40 189kThere are 2 issues i have noticed with this vehicle and i noticed the antenna makes a noise when it goes up and down, i am not sure if it needs some lithium grease or what the issue is but it still works and goes up and down.. also the hood latch seems to stick/ so you have to toy with it to open the hood... there not big deals and could be easily fixed without any cost--and if have time i will try to toy with them.. but i wanted to put that out thereI have tried my best to describe this car to the best of my ability and please keep in mind this is a 13 year old car thats in good shape for it's age and miles but this vehicle is being sold as is where is and there will be no refunds...
