Owned By Barbara BillingsleyAllso You Will Remember As June Cleaverfrom the Tv Sitcom Leave It To BeaverBarbara Billingsley has this 220S as a special orderfrom western Germany with a rear fold down seat with a champagne box , well here we go when this mercedes was being made Barbara Billingsleys friends who are Fenton Hamilton and Melva Hamilton fenton hamilton is a academy award winning Cinematographer and after the car was done being made it was sent to rome where Fenton hamilton was filming academy award winning movie ben hur the hamiltons kept vehicle in rome until they were done filming this movie and then send it back to los angeles california were barbara billingsley lived @ that time there is well over 150 papers in documentation stating this happened the car has always been serviced at coventry motors in beverly hills billingsley drove this car to the set of the tv sitcom leave it to beaver this was one of her favorite vehicles she had ever owned after 1973 this car mostly sat in barbara's garage in los angeles california it's stayed there up until 1993 when barbara sold this car and the 3 owners that had this car since 1993 have done nothing with it and just mostly let it sit in the garage also but unfortunately the last owner pulled the engine out of the car to get it restored and he gave it to non licensed mechanic that he found over the internet and the motor got stolen the cars in 100 percent original condition with all original parts the only thing I'm missing from this vehicle is the side molding on the driver side rear near the tire everything else is intact and original the paint is 50 percent original there are areas that are cracking the areas that are cracking is the areas where was repainted the body is 100 percent bondo an accident free there is 1 dent on the driver side fender underneath the headlamp and there is some dents on the bumpers the body and floors are solid and the floors in the frame are 100 percent rust free guaranteed ! some minor surface rust on the roof in the corner and behind driver side door on the outside but not really a big deal the car has its original tire jack set and tools including original spare tire the interior is 100 percent original I would say the wood is in good condition for its age all cracks the original steering wheel radio clock is all intact the 2 front seats do have some tears in them the back to fold down seats the rear bottom part does have a large cut but the back part is in perfect condition the carpet underneath the rear fold down seat is in mint condition the headliner of the car is kinda different it's like a animal fur but I'm not sure but I have not seen another mercedes of this year with that kind of head liner I have explained is vehicle to the best of my knowledge and this will have a reserve and I do have the right to end auction early if an offer came through be the 1 to own this hollywood celebrity owned vehicle please contact michael mitchell for any information @ 909 287 4425 On Jul-29-12 at 03:28:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm sorry I forgot to mention this is just a motor and transmission is missing everything else is intact electrical and all
