Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a nice Acura MDX. I purchased this car as a lease return with 66,000 miles on it years ago. It has been serviced and maintained as a fleet vehicle as I use this for traveling for work. I have listed the miles as 198,000 even though the pictures show a little over 197,000. The reason is I still use the car on a daily basis so the milage is still going up. I just took a 500 mile trip with the car with no issues. Mechanically the car is 100%. A new transmission was installed at 167,000 miles. This is a common problem with the 2001-2003 MDX years so I spent the extra money on a new in the crate transmission that has all of the updates from the newer models. I also added a transmission cooler as it was recomended. When the transmission was replaced I also replaced the front and rear shocks. The car drives and rides extremely well. Four new tires were installed at 174,000 miles along with new brakes and new rotors. Like I mentioned earlier the car was well maintained. The only issue the car has that I'm aware of is the SRS light is on. This is actually for a sensor in the passenger seat. It detects the weight of the passenger and turns the passenger air bag off automatically. I didn't change the sensor because I don't mind the passenger air bag being on all of the time. The reason I have kept the car so long is that it really stands alone in its class. I average around 24-25 MPG on the highway and 20-21 MPG around town. It has seating for 7 and has a towing capacity rated at 4,400 lbs. The all wheel drive system is awsome. Most of the other cars that compare to the MDX average 16 MPG in town and maybe 19 MPG on the highway. 5 MPG doesn't seem like much but the 20% to 25% less fuel costs will be easily noticed after a few miles. I could go on about the MDX but do your homework and read up on them. You will find many cars with similar miles just because these cars are so well built. With 198,000 the car does have some cosmetic issues. Like I said earlier mechanically the car is 100%. You can see in the pictures a small spot of surface rust on the hood. This isn't rotted through. It started out as a small chip in the paint and just grew over the years. It could be touched up pretty easy or hidden with a bug deflector. I also had the front bumper repainted because I hit a snow bank turning into my driveway at about 5 mph last winter. It also caused a small amount of damage to the driver's side fender. The fender was not fixed as it was so minimal. If you look close you can see a small paint chip on the fender. The bumper when painted was not quite a 100% match. Sometimes noticable and sometimes not. It's close but not a perfect match. Other than that a few door dings and normal wear and tear for a car with almost 200,000 miles. Overall pretty good. The interior is pretty good shape as well. The leather seats are all in good shape. The drivers seat has a seam that just recently came unstitched in the center. Hard to see in the pictures but it's there. The only real problem is the passengers rear interior door panel. My son decided to sink his teeth into it for some reason. It's an easy fix to replace the door panel. You can see the damage in the pictures. I'm guessing that $150 for parts and labor for the job at any body shop should cover it. Other than that the interior looks good as the pictures show. I'll offer to deliver the car for $1.35 per mile within the 48 states and Canada. A deposit of $1,000 must be made within 7 days. Final payment in 14 days. Please feel free to ask any questions. The car is also advertised locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. The reserve is set extremely low.......I'm expecting this to sell easily!!! Good Luck!!!
