Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1930/31 Model A Ford Coupe with rumble seat. This item is being sold on bill of sale as I have no title. The listing says it has a rebuilt, rebuildable, & reconstructed title but it has no title. The project is not far enough along to get it titled in the state of Iowa. When I purchased the body it was in almost perfect condition. The body is mounted on a new after market boxed Model A frame. The body has had the top filled in and the gas tank replaced with a new cowl piece. It has new steel Brookville fenders and running boards. It has a ’32 hood, hood hinge, headlight bar, aluminum radiator, grille, and grille shell. The Model A frame has been modified with ’32 frame horns to accept the ’32 gas tank. The front end is a Model A axle dropped 3” with split wishbone, it has Vega cross-steering, and Chevy disc brake adapters. The rear end is a Chevy 10 bolt with 4-bar link kit and with coil over shocks. It is sitting on 14” X 7” 7-spoke wheels and new Kumo tires. My original goal with this project was to build an Econo Resto Mod, so the motor I chose for this car is a Ford 2.3l 4 cylinder (which is a rebuilt long block) with a Borg Warner world class T-5 5-speed transmission with a Chevy S-10 tailshaft (for proper floor shift location). This sale includes many parts too numerous to mention, but some are LaBarron Boney interior kit, brake shoes and pads, brake lines, connections, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, calipers, steering column, bucket seats, and many motor parts to complete the fuel injection system. Over $15,000 invested in just the body and the paint alone. Call (563)323-5929 with any questions. On Jul-22-12 at 10:20:49 PDT, seller added the following information:Here is a fact I forgot to disclose when I first wrote this description. The last time I moved this car I hired a guy with a tilt bed tow truck. He put his hook to move the car up on to the tilt bed on my cars front axle. The location of the hook caused some damage to to the front lower splash apron. Just below the radiator between the two front fenders. I did not notice this damage until months later. On Jul-27-12 at 04:18:25 PDT, seller added the following information:I want to make it perfectly clear so no one out there gets the wrong idea. As stated before this is a project car. It is a work in progress. It is not a running car. The long block engine is mounted in the car but it is not running yet. The brakes and brake lines are not installed yet. The interior is not done. The steering under the car is done up to the Vega steering box, but from the steering box to inside the car the steering is not done. However, included in this sale is at least 90% of the parts needed to complete this car.
