Vehicle Detail
I am getting old and still have at least 300 years of projects lined up. I just figured out I may not live that long, so I am parting with some of my collection. This auction is for a 1972 Porsche 914 "Targa Top" with a 350 V8 engine, with Holley carb and intake, headers, and dual exhaust. Using the numbers I could find, I THINK it is a '73 L-82. Be advised: My research and $5 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. It was a running & driving car, but is now being sold as a project. I have had it for several years and never got around to doing much with it. It has the wide body kit, which needs some fiberglass repair. The back tires are dry-rotted, but the front ones are usable. I have never found any rust-through on the car, I believe it spent it's life in AZ and NM. The engine installation is clean and looks professional. Though I have never tried to start it, I can tell you that the engine is free. The interior is dirty, but is in nice shape for it's age, I'm certain it was redone. It needs a window in the driver's door, but the rest of the glass is OK. I can guarantee with 99% certainty that you will be the only one on the block with one like this. I have owned several Porsches over the past 40 years, and have some 914 parts left over. I'm going to throw in what I have, such as a transaxle case, internals parts, and whatever misc. I find, as, regrettably, this will probably be the last Porsche I own. I now live on a ranch and this or any other Porsche wouldn't make it 50' down the 2 1/2 miles of dirt road to my house. Please don't bid if you can't pay, and ask any questions prior to bidding, via email or you may phone me at 623-640-1090 (Dale) before 9 p.m. MST. I apologize if I am difficult to reach by phone as I live on a ranch with only sub-standard cell service. Leave me a message and I will return your call. The winning bidder will pay a $500 deposit through Paypal, and the balance will be paid in cash or certified funds within 7 days. If this payment is not made in cash, the car will not leave until I am satisfied the funds are good. Since this is a 40 year old vehicle, (and did I mention, it's a project), it is are sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied. I will store it without charge for 45 days, at the liability of the purchaser. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer, but I will assist in any way I can, and am able to load it onto just about anything. I am really strong. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
