Up for auction is my 1956 f-100 custom cab small window short bed pickup. I bought this truck when I was sixteen years old, I love my truck but it is time to give her to someone that can finish her. I will post some pics of what my father and I did 17 years ago the photos will show the cab corners replaced and rocker panels and lower driver pillar keep in mind that these garage pics where taken 17 years ago I did not replace the inner rear cab cornners. I took the cab off sandblasted frame painted replaced all cab mounts the entire exterior of the cab down to bare metal(except underneath cab) very little bondo skim coat over replaced cab corners then black primered. Interior there is not one the seat is a mid 70s split bench.The front end fenders are bolted together with standard bolts from hardware store for temp. The engine is a 390 big block 2 barrel and a automatic transmission from a 1966 galaxie with a B&M floor shifter. The 3:27 9inch ford rear end is from a 80's econoline axel is wider I planed to use 3'' wider fenders never did, the drive shaft was custom made and balanced the frame is stock motor mount is from Dennis Charpenters trany mout was custom made, The leaf spings have been changed in the front to MONO leaf sping from socal the rear springs- few stock where removed every other leaf and the Axel is fliped on top of springs flip kit from mid-fiftys. power brakes from the galaxie also. I did cut off the front bumper mounts for the no frame holes fiberglass gravel pan front valance. The truck has sat for the past 10 years covered. It has not ran in 10 years I have not tried, the engine will have to be rebuilt. Missing the rear feanders, and Running board's . I have the hood and tailgate but they are rough I have the bed box its not so good, but the cab and frame is a good start rather than pulling some rusted out truck from a field. This is a great start for a project. It does need alot of work -front floor pan lower door skins inner fenders, doors have plexy glass rear window is plexy too the radiator in he truck is from the galaxie aswell. please ask any question before you bid, I live 30 miles north east of Charlotte, NC buyer will have to make arangements for pickup and to get Title signed over.
