Vehicle Detail

1970 Volkswagen Bug - Awesome Car - White with Roof Rack - 4spd Manual Up for sale is a 1970 Volkswagen Bug - This is an awesome car. It has a 1500cc Single Port 40 h/p motor. Rebuilt with less than 8K on it. Rebuilt transmission with less than 8k on it. The motor has a rebuilt carb with K&N reusable air filter. The top end is brand new with new Bosch wires and plugs, New Petronix Distributor with Electronic Ignition and coil. Rebuild Bosch 12v Alternator with chrome pulley. New Brake parts and inspection. Battery Panel patched and the pans are in excellent shape. Car has hardly any rust and any that it does have is surface. Body is straight and has 4 new fenders with turn signals in front bumper and all side chrome removed and patched. This car runs extremely well. Does not shake, pull, shimmy or any other adjectives you could think of. The interior is brand new. Complete TMI restore. Brand new Grey Vinyl headliner, Grey basketweave Vinyl seats with new foam cushions (front and back, top and bottom) Seats were broken down to the frame and painted. New Door Panels, Door pulls (chrome) and window roll downs. Panels on the front and back have sheething backing protecting them from behind. New Salt & Pepper Carpet kit (front, back and rear well). New Visors and Rearview mirror. New glove box with lock and key. Painted Metal Dash like mid 60’s VW. The entire interior of the car has been Dyna Matted - It’s nice and quiet inside. The entire interior metal was sanded of surface rust, primed and dyna matted. The car has a brand new windsheild with new seal. All the glass is in great condition with new seals all the way around. The windows are tinted as well. All new door parts including new scappers inside and out. New door seals on both sides. New felt channels and vent seals. It has a lockable deck lid and rain catch system behind louvers in the decklid. Tires are in great conditon with less than 10k on them. Black stock wheels with chrome VW centers. 4 Wheel Drum brakes. Spare Tire and original Jack restored with car. Original Radio in need of faceplate and speakers. All lights lenses are new and in working order. Speedo works. The gas guage works until it gets to a half tank then falls to E - The float probably needs to be adjusted. The gas tank is also new with new vent lines and clamps all the way around. All paperwork and reciepts. Also a box full of extra parts. Og distrubtor and all kinds of other usable parts probably $300-500 worth. Also have stainless door sills. The only known issue is when the car is in 1st gear and you are in a parking lot it will pop out of gear if you are not holding the stick. It only does this under the heavy load of the car. I've checked the transmission mounts and they are good and I've also checked the linkage. It's possibley a pressure plate issue I just haven't pulled the motor to inspect the transmission. The car shifts fine in all other gears and this doesn't seem to effect the car in any way. I've checked the fluid and I'm not seeing shavings or metal. If you hold onto the stick you would never know it was there. I'm disclaiming this due to the fact that it's the only known issue with the car. It's been this way since the car was purchased 1.5 years ago. I've noticed no change. The transmission was rebuilt before I purchased the car. If you have any questions please email me. Thanks Being sold as is with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or any shipping required. Please no zero or low feedback bidders...please contact me through ebay and I will answer any questions. All around this a great car as a daily driver. Get in, pump the gas, turn the key and go!
