I had been eye balling an awesome Camaro on a little skinny side street in the hills. This Bronco paled in comparison but when the Camaro lead dried up, all eyes were on this tough wheeler. It was covered in a thick layer of dust which turned out to be 10 years deep. I left a note and was pleased to hear back from a burly construction worker. We made a quick deal and Margarito somehow maneuvered his truck in to swoop this deal. It's a sweet Bronco and it's now available to you. The man turned me on to a thick envelope of receipts. 20 years worth of receipts to be exact. He had been thru the Bronco a couple of times and finally decided the wiring need to be redone. So he bought a $500 harness and stepped away for 10 years. When I look at the wires, they are old and frayed but could be salvaged, either way the harness is here for you. The Bronco fired up after a little massaging and let me tell you, it is a handful! The exhaust roars a throaty roar and the strong clutch has this vehicle leaping ahead. Indeed it was built tough as rusty nails and 2 x 4s. The meaning of floor boards rings true here. Both front floors are skinned with some thick plywood. They are peppered with little holes underneath the plywood but still solid enough. The man told me a car had jumped off of its jack stands and careened into the Bronco ruining the once cherry body. Yes, it's got some lumps and bumps and I like my trucks a little rough around the edges. This Bronco is due for some TLC but nothing a good wrench couldn't solve. Are the trails beckoning for you?
