Vehicle Detail
This is a 24 year old Ford pick-up, it has typical Ford rust around the rear wheel arches (in fact the bed floor has rusted through in at least one place as well as the sides), the cab corners, the floorboards, the radiator support, shock mounts (the rear upper shock mounts were recently replaced), etc. It is the Lariat version and has factory a/c (not working), cruise control (not working), power windows and locks (these do work), intermittent wiper motor (works), and sliding rear window (lock broken). It has dual fuel tanks, but one of the fuel pumps is failing, probably in the No. 1 tank, either that or the high pressure pump is the culprit. In any case the engine sometimes starves for fuel, and the high pressure pump can be heard whining in the cab. So, this truck has not been particularly well maintained and it shows. It has LOADS of rust. The tires are in good shape, but there is no spare, the EGR system has a hic-up, or it could be that the engine management computer has a fault. The EGR valve, EGR valve position sensor, EGR Vacuum regulator, the distributer cap and rotor, coil, plugs, wires, and engine temp. sensor are all new in the last six months. It passed inspection (Missouri) last December, but it was noted that the brakes are worn to the point of requiring replacement, I know that the front left rotor is seriously grooved. The 302 ci V8 is reasonably healthy for its age (starts, runs smooth, accelerates well), it has a four speed auto trans, and a manually actuated transfer case. There is a problem in the power train that causes a heavy clunking noise at speed, and the transfer case was slipping out of 4-high last winter. This is, in reality, a farm truck, or mud truck, or parts truck, unless one is inclined to invest a lot of money in parts and tools...LMC Truck will love you should you be that person. I do not know how many owners this truck has had, but it drives straight, the bed is crooked from being hug-up on a tree stump, I can't speak as to any accidents etc. the windshield is cracked and chipped also and will need to be replaced, oh and the water temp. and fuel gages are no-operational as well... I am willing to deliver this truck in the Continental U.S. for what it actually costs me in fuel, lodging (if necessary), and the cost of the transporter / tow dolly, otherwise I will assist in making the vehicle available for the transporter of your choice. you MUST contact me prior to the end of the auction regarding shipping if you want me to transport the truck so that arrangements can be made. NO overseas bidding / shipping (I didn't fall off of the turnip wagon yesterday, so don't act like a fool) DO NOT bid if you can't pay There will be no refunds or returns on this vehicle so ask all the questions you need to, I can provide more photos upon request. The truck is for sale locally, and this auction may end early. Thanks for looking and good luck.
