Vehicle Detail
Hi There! Reasonable gas mileage, tons of space, off-road capability, insurance (for me) comes out to less than $30 a month, SUPER reliable. Re-listed with a reduced price after doing some more research and finding the "True Market Value" (see below) from Edmunds.com was lower than the other numbers I originally found. No Reserve, No Buy It Now option, No messing around! Vehicle Details: I'm, regrettably, parting with my 2001 Escape because My girlfriend and I just bought a new Ford Focus and I no longer need this SUV taking up space in the garage.I have a folder containing receipts and documentation of everything that's been done to this vehicle since it drove off the lot in August 2001, including the original window sticker! The folder also contains the title, which is completely clear. No accidents, no flood damage, no repossessions, etc. This vehicle has been absolutely fantastic and by far the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Everything works on it just the way it should, and this car has been pampered. Thrice-yearly hand-waxed, frequently cleaned, vacuumed, shampooed, Armor-All -ed. I just don't need it since we have the new car. The car has: (deep breath) XLT package, V6, Control Trac II All wheel drive with electronic center diff, beige interior with leather seats, moon roof, 6-disc MACH in-dash changer (I've never used it, don't own any CD's), Premium sound system, fog lights, roof rack, towing package (1.25" hitch, wiring, 3,500lb capacity), clean alloy wheels, bright sparkly shiny dark green paint with gray lower panels. As far as gas mileage goes, I can usually get about 390 miles on a tank if it's mostly highway driving at about 70 mph. 4X4 is outstanding in slippery conditions and works every single time. I've never gotten stuck! In addition to the factory stuff, I've made some very minor additions to enhance the vehicle's reliability and longevity: Installed a K&N lifetime air filter (factory style, not Cold Air Intake Type) that will last forever, just have to clean it periodically. Sylvania SilverStar Headlight Bulbs (a significant investment as light bulbs go, but definitely worth it). Bosch Icon wiper blades (again, more expensive than the typical stuff, but work great). I also recently (at about 115k miles) switched her over to hi mileage oil to help increase the engine's life. What it needs: Nothing really. It will need tires eventually, but so will any car really, will depend on how much and how hard you drive, but I'd say late fall would be a good time to get some new rubber. Also, there is a CEL, but it just needs an O2 sensor and I don't have the time to put one in right now. I believe it was the O2 sensor on bank 2, and it's only ~$30 part. Doesn't affect drivability or gas mileage (currently gets ~24mpg combined and I'm a pretty average driver). Has the owner's manual, spare tire, jack, associated goodies, and I'll leave my plug-in style power inverter and FM tuner for Ipod/mp3 since the new focus has Sync, won't need those. There's the cost of your O2 sensor. Any questions, please ask, because I'm sure I forgot some things. Oh yeah, in case you didn't notice, there's no reserve, so could go for the price of the first bid! KBB Value: $5,783 to $6,058 NADA Trade In Value: $4,725 NADA Clean Retail Value: $7,100 Edmunds TMV: $4,854-$6,301 Enough reading and looking at pictures, buy this thing already!! Shipping Details: I will not provide shipping. I can drop the car off to you if you'd like, anywhere within reasonable distance of my place. I will discuss "reasonable distance" with whoever wins this auction. I am willing to work with shipping companies, help load, etc. but only within the US, preferably lower 48. Payment Details: Cash only. No interest in paying Paypal fees, don't want to get roped into a cashier's check scam, don't want to give you my bank account information for a wire transfer, would consider monopoly money - if it could actually buy me anything, which it can't, I've tried. Oh also, thank you for the offer, but no, I would not like to hold onto your $50 million for you. Car does not come with the running boards in the pictures, I don't have them anymore, sorry. Sold as is, no warranty available, but I'm sure you could purchase one somewhere if you'd like after buying the car.
