Time Capsule! Solid 9! Up for auction is this beautiful unmolested and original1968 Ford Thunderbird Landau Coupe. This is a ZERO RUST California car that started it's life in 1968 in Danville, California and eventually made its way to Redding, in 1990. This car is nicely equipped with new tires, 6 way power seats, PS, PDB, Auto, A/C, AM-FM push button radio (New speakers), power antenna, power windows, tilt/swivel away steering wheel and hideaway headlights. This car has less than 51,000 original miles on her. Powerplant is the famous 429 cubic inch 4V Thunder Jet with 360 HP and tons of torque. All windows and lights work. Glass is as new! All vacuum lines have been recently replaced. The vacuum powered headlight covers raise and lower as they should. The exhaust is new from manifolds to tail pipes with 26 inch glass packs that give the car the perfect mellow tone as she cruises down the road. The car runs cool and has no leaks of any sort. The dash is perfect and well protected by its dashmate. Headliner is perfect. Carpet is perfect. Chrome and trim is all original and still very nice and glistens in the sun. Paint is a quality 2 stage clear coat over base. (6 months old). Vinyl alligator landau top is original and is in pristine condition. No signs of any rust or lifting. Body is lazer straight with doors, hood and trunk aligning perfectly and all closing and opening as they should.Car was garaged it's entire life. Upholstery is near perfect but has a dime sized puncture on the right side of the passenger back support. The vinyl fabric on the drivers and passenger armrest isn't perfect but doesn't look too bad. (Needs to be removed and re-fastened). I have to point it out when people look at the car. The trunk mat is as new. Spare tire and jack are stowed properly. The air conditioning will freeze you out! I had it converted from R-12 to 134A and installed two ten inch fans to keep the condenser cool. Just had new motor mounts and air adjustable shocks installed. The car runs like new, drives straight and true, shifts, and accelerates as new. I get looks and thumbs up every time I take her down the road. I don't believe you will finder a nicer example of a 1968 T-Bird anywhere for the money. Thanks and happy bidding.
