Vehicle Detail
I am a private seller not a dealer. Purchased this car on ebay almost 6 years ago. Was the model I wanted when I turned 16, but was unable to afford it. This is an older restoration we used as an occasional driver, and put just over 8000 miles on it. We like to cruise and attend the car shows. Gets attention from young and old. I love to restore and correct these B bodies, guess that is the perfectionist in me. I like everything to work and spent near $50,000 on this car. The only thing I never repaired was the wiring to the signal lights mounted in the hood. All gauges are working. This is a short list of the modifications and repairs we made over the years. A retired Chrysler mechanic lived down the street from me. He took care of the maintenance and repairs for us. We had to have it done right. 3/8 " gas tank sending unit with a new 3/8" line all the way to the engine. Rebuilt a 18 spline HEMI 4 -speed transmission. A new HD clutch from Mancini was recently installed. Tubular upper control arms, front suspension rebuilt. Firm Feel of Seattle provided a rebuilt factory power steering box and new upper control arms. This was originally a manual steering car but I wanted my car to drive like a new car. Interior is almost flawless and looks correct. Did put in an aftermarket AM/FM/CD player. The car does have a couple of small chips in the front passenger quarter. There are some small dents in the rear quarters on both sides. Take a look at the fender tag and the options code. How often does a heavily optioned Road Runner like this one with these combinations appear? Numbers do not match and I do not have a build sheet, but I am not asking $50,000+ either. Have a clear title. Currently insured by Hagerty. No warranties expressed or implied. Always stored inside to preserve this car. 1970 Plymouth Road Runner De-Coded VIN# RM21N0G109697 RM21 = 2 door coupe N = 383 A36 = performance axle package with 3:55 ratio A62 = rallye instrument cluster C16 = console (with bucket seats only) C55 = bucket seats D21 = 4 speed manual transmission E63 = 383 CID 4 barrel V8 335 hp G31 = manual outside right mirror G33 = remote control outside left mirror J25 = 3 speed wipers J45 = hood tie down pins L25 = trunk lamp L31 = hood mount turn signals M21 = roof drip rail moldings M31 = belt molding N41 = dual exhaust N42 = bright exhaust tips N85 = tachometer, including clock N96 = air grabber FY1 = lemon twist exterior paint H6X9 = high back vinyl bucket seats in black Other modifications would be the flowmaster mufflers and we had the 383 motor rebuilt by a professional with a stroker kit from 440 source. 496 CID (Size does matter). Quite an expensive crank, rod, and piston kit $$$$. But it works nicely. Aluminum water pump. Correct cast intake manifold. Gear Drive Roller cam with a 750 Holley Double Pump Carb w/Mechanical secondaries. Factory exhaust manifolds, factory ported heads. Correct "Beep Beep" horn works properly and so does the 3:55 ratio sure-grip rear axle. Drum brakes are good. Floor pans are solid. 15" rallye wheels. Hurst Pistol Grip/18 spline/4 speed shifts smoothly and the clutch does not slip. Will answer any questions please call me at 580/585-7828 - 7 days a week.
