1989 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS LS COLONY PARK STATION WAGON. An all ORIGINAL RUST FREE 23 year old 73.000 mile car in excellent condition.Exterior in original cabernet maroon shows extremely well with the original and excellent wood paneling & optional burgundy leather interior. 9 passenger wagon with all options including factory a/c converted to R134 blows nice and cold. All power including both seats, windows,door locks, steering, brakes,& electric antenna.AM/FM/Cassette radio plays fine, cassette works also with optional premium sound package. Beautiful blemish free dash in faux wood paneling with gold stripe, and non cracked dash pad as new. 5 brand new 215/70R15 correct narrow w/w tires including spare. Optional aluminum wheels (5),tilt wheel with full optional leather wrapped steering wheel & Cartier style instrumentation. Optional adjustable rear view mirrors also. When rear seats and back seats folded down an incredible amount of flat space is available.These Mercury station wagons were discontinued in 1991, and Mercury brand ceased to exist in 2011. Just installed 4 new coil springs and 4 new 'sensamatic' shock absorbers. All new spark plugs wiring, plugs, sensors, and very good exhaust system passed all inspections here. Car literally floats down the road. Wood paneling excellent, not faded as car was always garaged by former owners. Excellent chrome. Tinted rear windows for coolness, and a beautiful original optional roof luggage rack . optional dual exhaust as original. This car is insured by HAGERTY Insurance, who only accept 'classics' and 'future collectibles, so they concur in the appreciation aspect also. If you are old enough to remember 'Sky King & Penny' on the radio, and 'Ozzis & Harriet' on TV all drove wood sided wagons. The Mercury wagon was more costly & luxurious than the Ford Country Squire wagons. Also a 1989 Lincoln Town Car listed also in excellent original condition. Original owners books, etc in glove box. Also original sales brochure. My rating with ebay is 100%! No so with others listings.
