I am the 2nd owner of this 2000 Dodge Dakota. The first owner was my father-in-law and I have full history of the vehicle available. My father-in-law used it primarily for in-town commuting in New Mexico. I purchased the vehicle in March of 2010 when it had 24,089 miles and since then have put 16,000 miles on it since then. Most of my usage has been highway road-trips and several off-road adventures. The vehicle is in great condition right now and everything works. The interior is very clean and looks more like a 2 year old vehicle rather than 12. The outside is in great shape for its age, but there is some sun fade on the red paint on the right rear fenders and on the top of the cab - New Mexico sun is brutal on paint. There are a few dings on the front and rear bumpers. I have the stock radio head unit replaced with a Pioneer DEH-3200UB head unit that has front-panel USB/iPod support feature. Also aftermarket is a Leer camper shell with matching body-color paint and a Yakima rack on top. The vehicle has never been in a wreck nor had any body work performed. I just had the vehicle inspected by Auto Exam automotive services and the full report is attached to this listing. Everything is in great condition with the exception of the following:air filter is old - not dirty, just old.uneven wear on the front tires - They are due for a rotation, and the inspector's thought was that the shocks are worn enough that they are the cause of the wear.valve cover leak - A small leak in a gasket around one of the valve cover bolts.transfer case leak & overdriving housing leak - The inspector noted a gasket leak in both of these but this wasn't there a few weeks ago, so I'd like to look closer. I've seen no evidence of fluid leaks on the garage floor.pinion seal - This may have been leftover from when I had the ring & pinion replaced last summer.
