Up for sale is a factory Black and Tan T-Top 6.6L Automatic 1979 Trans Am. I have paperwork that says that the dealer installed the special edition striping so it is not a factory S.E. This car is a very good driver, it runs and drives as it should! I replaced the master cylinder a couple years ago and that has been the only problem Ive had since Ive owned it. The car currently has a non matching engine but it is a freshly rebuilt 1960’s 400ci engine coded XA that I put into it. The interior appears to be original and is in very good condition for its age other than the usual wear on the steering wheel as you can see in the pictures, the T-Tops have a little wear from going on and off of the car but again that’s typical and there’s nothing out of the ordinary. The car has Power windows, power locks and a power trunk latch. The A/C needs to be recharged but that should be all it needs and the fan blows for the air so I don’t see that as being much of an issue getting it to work (I have never attempted to recharge it so I cannot be for certain that’s all it will take but that is what the previous owner told me it needed). It does obviously have a cd player and newer speakers and I do not have the originals, nor do I have the original shifter as that has been replaced as well. The car is very solid, no rust issues, or bondo that I have found, the underside of the car is in very good shape as you can see. The wheels are in good shape, the tires are pretty decent, there good enough for as little as I drive the car. The only place on the car that would need any attention would be the passenger side rear quarter, it looks like a prior owner tried to repaint it for whatever reason and they didn’t do the greatest job and they also never put the striping back on above that wheel so it makes it stand out a little more then I would if the stripes were on it but other than that it is a wonderful driver quality car!
