Up for bid is a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT. It has a V-8 and automatic transmission. The engine runs and sounds good. The battery needs replacing. The transmission shifts good. The exterior is in rough shape with dents and scratches. The interior has leather seats and cold working air conditioner. The headliner is missing and the roof is visible. There is a sunroof installed, but not working at time of inspection. It has a missing or broken rear driver side window. The driver side seat is damaged and torn. It has a CD Changer in the console, but unsure if it works or not. There are dents and damage to the front bumper area, both front frenders, driver side rear quarter panel, and rear of the vehicle. Vehicle needs to be cleaned inside because there are leaves and other items on the floors. Paint is faded in several spots to include the sides and roof. The rear window wiper does not have a blade and has damaged the window with scratches. It does have the original rims and tires are ok. The driver side doors open, but do make a creaking noise. Autocheck reports an accident in 1998. It only has 110,386 miles and its a 1996! We have the right to cancel any bidder with 10 or less feedbacks! This vehicle was impounded by the Keene Police Department from a traffic stop in October 2011. The vehicle was being driven at the time of the traffic stop. The buyer will receive an "Auction Sales Receipt for an Abandoned Motor Vehicle Sold by a Law Enforcement Agency at Public Auction". There is no current registration or inspection on this vehicle. The vehicle WILL have to be towed or trailered from Keene PD - it can NOT be driven ,unless a temporary tag is purchased or the buyer registers the vehicle. No delivery available.
