1987 BMW 325ic Convertible Beautiful Low-Mile Survivor in the Proper Color 98% Factory Original ~ Everything Works No Rust, No Excuses, Turnkey Modern Classic Please read this entire listing before bidding or sending queries. Plenty of hi-res photos below so please allow them to load. Available to the discriminating enthusiast is my beautiful 1987 BMW 325i Convertible, shown in photos taken in late March 2012. I am a lifelong auto enthusiast and I have bought and sold many personal vehicles on eBay. Please check my 100% Positive Feedback for details of these transactions. I am knowledgeable and make every effort to describe my items accurately and answer your questions directly. This BMW has a clean CarFax and an AutoCheck score (35) that well exceeds the top of the range (29). Anyone can buy a new car, and anyone can restore a car (poorly...), but owning and driving a well-preserved classic is a truly unique pleasure for the discriminating driver. This fantastic example of a Zinnoberrot Red automatic (with Sport shift selection) features BMW's black leather sport interior and the rare factory-option LSD (limited slip differential). The car was sold and delivered new at Roth BMW of Portland, Oregon on July 07, 1987, and has been in the Las Vegas area since just before we purchased it (with 47k) miles in January 2008. We have enjoyed about 11k miles in this car, and stored it in the garage under a BMW cover when not in use. Everything on this car works exactly as it should (all interior & exterior lighting, all gauges, OBC, ice cold A/C ... everything works, period), the folding top mechanism is perfect, the car appeaRs to have never been smoked in and the trunk still smells new. The 6-cylinder motor is in top running condition with no mechanical issues, no leaks and no deferred maintenance, and the transmission shifts exactly as it should. At its most recent Nevada State Emission Test in August 2011 (at the BMW dealership) it barely registered any pollutants, and the Service Advisor said it tested like a new car. I have the original window sticker from Roth BMW, where it was priced at $30,463 in 1987. I also have an excellent records history, a fitted BMW car cover, the owner's manual, 2 BMW drivers keys and the BMW delivery key fob containing three "master" keys, and more. Recent Documented Professional Maintenance: - replaced valve cover gaskets (to correct seepage, 58k miles) - rebuilt power steering pump (to correct seepage, 58k miles) - new driveline flex disc / Giubo (replaced for wear, 58k miles) - transmission service: fresh AT fluid, fluid filter & pan gasket (per BMW's 60k schedule, 58k miles) - new timing belt/water pump/thermostat (per BMW's 60k schedule, 57k miles) - lube/oil/filter service (55k miles) - refurbished OEM factory-optional BMW BBS wheels, with polished lip - new Continental nitrogen filled tires Three Reversible Upgrades: - front bumper license plate fill strip (original front license plate bracket on hand) - upgraded in-dash stereo with iPod connection (sounds great at speed with top down; original factory stereo on hand) - BMW BBS option wheels noted above (original Bottlecaps in excellent condition on hand). BMW fans know It is rare to find an unmolested and unmodified high-quality E30. The E30 is recognized as among the most desirable of the classic Bimmers as it was the last BMW 3-series before the bloating began. It's lightness, agility and power give the E30 nimble road manners, while its combination of classic compact European body style with modern conveniences (fuel injection, computer engine management, power windows/locks, excellent A/C) make it a comfortable and very drivable modern classic. We have enjoyed this Bimmer on several long road trips from Las Vegas: twice to San Diego and up the PCH, once to Zion National Park, and once to Prescott/Flagstaff/Grand Canyon. It is a flawless over-the-road performer that inspires driving confidence, and a boulevard head-turner evoking classic style. I would get in this BMW and drive it anywhere. Note: Some photos were taken in bright sun while others were taken in partial shade, so the color cast may appear to fluctuate and there are lots of visble reflections (trees, my house, clouds, me...). Rest assured the original paint is deep, consistent and beautiful. Some photos detail the only physical flaws I know exist on this beautiful car: a very small impression & mark on the driver's side front fender (less than 1", hardly noticeable, and the only ding or dent anywhere on this car), a small slice in the rear bumper impact strip (no metal damage whatsoever), two small wear areas (same place on both sides) on the factory original convertible top, the common seam splits on the rear seat uppers, and minor wear on driver's side left seat bolster. Photos of the undercarriage, with the car on a rack, were provided by my repair specialist after the Bimmer's most recent maintenance. Please understand what I am selling before you bid; enjoy the photos, read my listing carefully and ask any and all questions you like. I do not reveal my reserves, and I do not tolerate auction interference. I have 100% positive eBay feedback (including many car sales and buys) and I intend to keep it. I aim to provide bidders with as much useful information as I want when buying. I will gladly put serious bidders in contact with the independent BMW/Mercedes repair facility I have trusted for 15 years; they have performed the service on this car the entire time it has been in Las Vegas. This is a beautiful, excellent running 25-year-old Autobahn classic, and you can feel confident flying in and driving it home, or I will do what I can to assist by being available for your shipper. No warranties expressed or implied. Clear NV title on hand. Bid to own on this very rare opportunity to own a well-cared for, ready-to-drive, very low mile, quality modern classic that will turn heads and put a smile on your face. Good luck! [Note: If you are coming to Las Vegas this weekend for the Wuste European Car Festival and want to see the car, it is located very close to the site of the event.] 250D
