Vehicle Detail

You are viewing a very rare "garage find" example of a 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce - model # 105326. Original red with grey interior. The Alfa is just out of long term storage and has been garaged since 1984. The GT shows 96,000 original miles. Vehicle id # AR242625. The Alfa is fitted with the correct 1600 engine with factory webers. The Alfa does not run, and would make an excellent restoration for the Alfa enthusiast that is looking for the next project. I am offering it up for sale so that I can concentrate on finishing my Giulietta restoration. As stated the Alfa has been in storage for the last 28 years and will require a full restoration. The Alfa appears to be essentially original however the rocker panels do show that they were repaired many years ago. The "Stepnose" GT's are considered to be the best looking in the GT series - commanding the highest prices and continue to appreciate nicely. The body is very straight with nice panel fit. The nose panel is in nice shape as well as the trunk lid and rear panel. No evidence of being hit in the rear. Although the rocker panels look ok in the pictures, there is rust in the inner rocker panels as well as the right rear wheel arch. There is also some rust in the floors as would be expected, and there is evidence of the floors being patched back in the day. Both doors close nicely as well as the trunk lid. The hood latch does not work. When the Alfa was in storage, someone tried to jack up the car by the gas tank and left rear quarter panel - the gas tank was not damaged, but was pushed up a bit. The quarter panel was damaged by the jack as shown in the pictures. Both front and rear bumpers are in good shape as shown in the pictures. The Alfa was "Ziebarted" early on which included the engine compartment. The front valence is in nice shape as well as all of the glass. There are no rust issues around the windshield or rear window. The grill is in nice original shape as well. The Alfa is fitted with Michelin 165-15 XZX tires. The paint is flaking off in some spots and appears to be the original paint. The engine compartment is all stock and essentially untouched. It is all complete under the hood except for the brake booster which had been bypassed at some point. As previously stated, the engine compartment was treated with rust proofing, which can be removed fairly easily. The Alfa was running when parked, but has not run in since being stored. I have not attempted to start it. The interior is pretty much all original as shown in the pictures. The front seats have some rips, however the rear seat is in good condition without any tears. The headliner is in good original condition with no rips. The dash is well preserved with just a small crack. It still has the original period correct Blaupunk radio. Both of the door panels are in nice original condition. The GT still has the original factory floor mats. All windows open and close properly with no issues. As stated, the Alfa has been stored and unused for many years. It is in non-running condition and will require a mechanical and body restoration to bring it back to it's former glory. Do not make any assumptions about this Alfa. If you aren't sure about something, send me an email. I have done my best to describe the Alfa to the best of my ability, but may have missed something - as stated, ask any questions prior to bidding that I haven't already answered. The Alfa is being sold in "as is" condition with no warranty expressed or implied. The Alfa comes with a clear title & original keys. The fine print: If you have 5 or less feedback transactions, you must contact me prior to bidding. A non-refundable deposit of $1000.00 is due within 24 hours of the auction end date. If the deposit has not been received, the Alfa will be offered to the next highest bidder. The balance is due within 7 days of the auction end date. The Alfa must be picked up within 10 days of the auction end date. A $10.00 per day storage fee will be charged unless prior arrangements have been made. I have sold several vintage cars to overseas buyers with the buyers being extremely pleased with the sale. My 100% feedback speaks for itself, so bid with confidence. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me, I will do my best to answer any questions you may have. I will consider ending the auction early for the motivated buyer that would like to make a serious offer. I do reserve the right to end the auction early. "Low reserve auction"
