Vehicle Detail

Mileage shown on odometer (12677) is very probably wrong. My guess is more like 112677. That said this is a very nice car. Studebaker Larks are small on the out side but have a lot of interior room; I hope you agree they are also very attractive. This car has a rebuilt engine - the largest Studebaker put in these cars. The car starts and runs readily. The car has an automatic transmission. The car also has dual exhaust but NO POWER STEERING and NO POWER BRAKES. Tires are very recent (near new). This car came from California two years ago. It is remarkably rust free and panels are straight as they should be. Since coming from its dry sunny home in California the car has been protected from snow salt and rain - it is only let out six months out of the year. My first car was a Studebaker Lark of the same year - I am familiar with the makes weak spots - this one does not show me any in trunk tub - floor pans - rocker panels or fenders. I haven't seen any rust. The interior is the weak point and that not by much. Front and rear seats have been reupholstered in a good grade of vinyl. Door and side panels are worn. Carpet is relatively new. Head liner is new but needs to be fitted better. Dash board padding is split but a replacement is available from Studebaker parts sources. I believe door and sise panels are also available from after market suppliers. Car will come with a shop manual parts catalogs and an original sales brochure. Whether you are a hot rodder looking for a relatively light weight rocket ship - or a restorer looking for a solid starting point for your next masterpiece - or just a person who enjoys old cars and old car people and "thumbs up" from other drivers on the highway this is the car for you. The successful bidder will forward $500.00 earnest money to my Paypal account within three days of successful bid. Terms and timing of final payment will be upon reasonable mutual agreement not to exceed 10 days. Transportation to your location is your responsibility
