Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE!!! Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 You are viewing a gorgeous, low-mileage, always unmarked, absolutely loaded and gorgeous 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Recently out of service from a small Police Department in Kentucky, where I believe it was assigned to the Chief, and with only 88,875 actual, documented miles on it...this is a beautiful example of a very rare, hard to find car in a very rare and very desirable color. This unit is absolutely loaded with nearly every option available. It is very seldom that you see a Police Interceptor that was ordered with this many items. Aside from being a Police Interceptor, this car was also ordered with the coveted "Street Appearance Package", cruise control, full-factory carpeting, velour cloth front split-bench (with stab-proof backs) and velour rear seating, side-impact air bags and a 3.27 Traction Lock (limited slip) axle along with traction control as well (it is very rare that you find these two options simultaneously). These items, of course, are just the beginning of the list of equipment on this car. I've owned several police vehicles over the years, I have had NO cars that come close to the condition of this unit, it has been extremely well maintained, actually over-maintained, and typically need no repairs. This was a one-driver car, assigned to one officer throughout the entire life of the car. For those of you who know, that makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to how the cars are maintained and treated. It has NEVER been smoked in, and has virtually ZERO wear, anywhere, on the seating...the rear seat appears to have never been used. It is finished in Silver Birch Clearcoat Metallic with Dark Charcoal interior. It is loaded with options, including; velour cloth front split-bench seat with dual, fold-down center armrests and velour cloth rear seating, driver and passenger air bags, side-impact air bags, full factory carpeting, factory auxilliary police dome lamp and factory AM/FM stereo. All of the factory floor mats are in place. With only 88,875 actual, original miles on it, the interior shows nearly zero wear. It has been extremely well-maintained and it runs, drives and handles as close to new as you will ever find. It has never been abused and it looks very nice. The trunk compartment is extremely clean. No spare included. This unit is also equipped with, of course, the full "Police Interceptor" package which includes the 4.6-liter H.O. engine, 4-speed overdrive heavy-duty transmission, special-order 3.27 "Traction Lock" limited-slip rear axle, noise suppression bond straps, lateral bow (roof) reinforcement, 225-60-16 Good Year Eagle RS-A police-spec, ultra-high performance radials that are in excellent condition and mounted on the factory, heavy-duty, 16" vented police wheels with full, factory chrome wheel covers, stainless-steel dual exhaust with factory crossover pipe, police-only lightweight balanced aluminum driveshaft, special police-spec heavy-duty frame, 4-wheel disc brakes, severe-duty suspension, heavy-duty cooling, certified 140-mph speedometer and much, much more. ****AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS, THIS CAR WAS SOLD FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AS IS, WITH ALL EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT, RADIOS, SIRENS, ETC. ARE STILL INSTALLED AND FULLY OPERABLE. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE PART-TIME OFFICER'S LIKE I AM, THIS CAR IS A DREAM COME TRUE. IT HAS BLUE STROBES IN THE FRONT GRILL, CLEAR STROBES IN THE HEADLIGHTS AND REAR BACK UP LIGHTS, A GEN 3 BLUE GALLS LED IN THE REAR DECK AND A BLUE/BLUE WHELEN TALON MOUNTED TO THE FRONT VISOR BEHIND THE MIRROR, AND A CODE 3 SIREN/SWITCHBOX, BRAND NEW RECHARGEABLE MAG-LITE AND KENWOOD RADIO AS SEEN IN THE PHOTO. THIS CAR IS READY TO GO TO WORK THE MOMENT YOU TURN THE KEY. THERE IS OVER $3000.00 WORTH OF EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED IN THIS VEHICLE. I WILL CONSIDER REMOVING THE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT AND SELLING THE CAR WITHOUT IT IF YOU CONTACT ME, BUT, I'VE GOT TO BE HONEST, THAT WOULD BE A SHAME BECAUSE AFTER ALL MY YEARS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION SUCH AS THIS. THIS CAR SHOULD GO TO ONE OF YOU PART-TIMERS OUT THERE WHO WOULD BE THE ENVY OF YOUR PD. For those of you who know Crown Victoria's, you are probably already aware that the 2004 and newer models are the years to have...they are equipped with the higher-horsepower engine, and 2005 was the first year that the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor utilized the 31-spline rear axles, eliminating problems they had with the earlier models which utilized a 28-spline, standard-duty rear differential. 2005 also saw the introduction of the new steering wheel design, which was much nicer, and more ergonomically correct, and was used until the end of the production run in 2011. As mentioned before, all Crown Victorias produced from 2004-onward utilized the new, improved, 250-horsepower 4.6 liter V8 engine and are the fastest Crown Victorias produced due to many changes that were made, mainly in the intake system. Previously, the Police Interceptor produced 239 horsepower, but the 2004-newer Police Interceptor increased that number to 250 horsepower due to the addition of a new "Marauder" air intake setup. This included a new airbox that resembles the Mercury Marauder airbox (raised airbox lid, deeper bottom), with a new, larger, integrated 80 mm (3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid. This allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances of air leakage. The P71 zip tube (the flexible rubber hose between the throttle body and MAF outlet) is also used to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) as well as transfer air from the airbox to the throttle body with minimal flow resistance. Crown Victorias like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for a nice one in a rare and desirable color combination with low mileage. This unit is very nice inside and out and is clean under the hood as well...the engine compartment is gorgeous. These are the Crown Victorias afficianados lust after, and this is an unmolested example. It is very responsive, smooth-shifting and, of course, very fast. This is a factory, all Silver Birch Metallic car, not a re-painted color change like you will see for sale elsewhere. This unit is in above-excellent overall condition, has been very well-maintained and has little of the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on a used police vehicle. This vehicle, as most used police vehicles do, will have imperfections...this typically includes; small holes in the interior panels from equipment being mounted, holes in the decklid from antennas (THIS CAR HAS NONE!!!), minor chips, nicks, dings, etc....that being said, I can find no damage on this car whatsoever. It has a spotlessly clean Carfax and Auto Check history report, and has NEVER been involved in any type of accident. No holes have ever been drilled into either the dash or exterior of the vehicle. The paint is 100% factory original and beautiful. This car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives excellent. This is a very nice driving, tight unit...not a beat-up police car. It has never been used for any type of normal police or patrol work. This was an administrators car from day 1. DON'T PASS THIS ONE UP, 2005 MODELS ARE VERY, VERY HARD TO FIND AND I DOUBT YOU WILL SEE ANOTHER FOR SALE IN THE NEAR FUTURE WITH THIS LOW OF MILEAGE, IF AT ALL, AT NO RESERVE. As with all of our auctions, this is a no reserve sale. This 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor will sell to the high bidder at the end of the auction, please complete all inspections BEFORE bidding...if you win the auction, you own the vehicle. I have a clear title in hand ready to sign over. I can also help facilitate shipping to you. I welcome any and all questions you might have prior to bidding on this Crown Victoria. I do reserve the right to end the auction early if the vehicle sells locally prior to the end of auction (please call if you like). I am a law-enforcement officer as well and as such, work long hours so you are free to call or text me as late in the evening as you like. I can be reached anytime at 859 913-3200. I will take calls or texts 24/7 up until the end of the auction. Winning bidder agrees to forward a 25% partial payment (unless a lesser amount is agreed upon PRIOR to the end of the auction) at end of auction via direct bank wire transfer or by overnighted cashier's check, money order or certified funds. Balance will be due within seven days of end of auction or at time of pick up or delivery, whichever comes first. I will help in any way possible to arrange transportation. I can store the vehicle for up to 30 days, until pick up can be arranged, as long as it's paid for in full. I may be able to deliver this vehicle personally, depending on your location, at a reduced rate. Thanks and good luck! Because of people who bid and do not contact me or pay, I am being forced to implicate a rule pertaining to low-feedback bidders. ANY BIDDER WHO BIDS, WITH A FEEDBACK OF 5 OR LESS, WILL HAVE THEIR BID RETRACTED IMMEDIATELY unless they contact me first, prior to bidding. Thanks for understanding. This item is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early in the event of local sale. Please remember, this is a used government vehicle, and not new, although it is probably in better condition than most you will see. As such, it will have minor flaws consistent with the miles and age of the vehicle, and with government use. That being said, it is in beautiful shape and runs & looks excellent. It is not what you would typically expect, or what you will find elsewhere for sale. Please, if you want to come and look at it, do so BEFORE bidding...call me, as always, at 859 913-3200 or e-mail me and I will answer any questions you may have. Thanks! On May-29-12 at 11:23:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Corrections. Ladies and gentlemen, couple of small errors on my part that I keep receiving questions about that I would like to correct. Couple of items in the description come from a previously sold unit. This particular unit does not have the velour seats with armrests, it is equipped with bucket cloth up front and cloth rear, really nice. Also, it does have the power driver seat, i've had a couple of questions asking if the controls are on the door, they are not. The power seat rear/front control on this unit is located on the lower left side of the driver seat. I've actually not seen the "8 way" power seat people keep asking about but I'm sure it's nice. And lastly, the mileage was a smidgen off, it actually has 89,720, and I have had several persons come and test drive it since Friday, with at least two who told me they will take it and are trying to get the funds together for the buy it now price that was on here initially, but I will not end the auction for one of those local sales until someone puts a deposit down. Please feel free to call or text me with any questions.
