Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Beautiful 1974 Karmann Ghia Convertible! This car is fun to drive, especially with the top down. It gets lots of attention everywhere it goes, and is a real head turner - a perfect summer car. The car runs very well, stops and steers well with everything working just as it should. No pulling in the steering, no stalling motor, no wobbly suspension - it handles well. The car has 76050 original miles on it, and the recently rebuilt JCS air-cooled engine has about 1000 miles on it. It is solid and runs great at all speeds with the car able to go 80+ mph, if needed. However, it likes to cruise best around 60 mph. Tires are relatively new with about 5000 miles on them. Inspection was recent, and registration current. The paint is original - Miami Blue, with plenty of shine. The white convertible top is also in good condition and is easy to put down. You can also put the solid glass rear window down with top up if you like. While the car is not show quality and has some minor flaws when you look at it closely, its a very nice driver car, and perfect for weekend drives. Black interior with an working AM/FM radio and cassette player as well. Current dash has slight typical Ghia crack in it, but have orignal replacement dash which new owner can install. The right seat pan was replaced. Minimal rust. History of car: Originally sold in 1974 in Miami. Was purchased in 2001 in Miami and driven to Missouri/then New Jersey. I purchased the car in 2006. This car has been well cared for. New owner will get all history available, and all repair and maintenance records I have for the car. Will assist if you need to ship the car, but all expenses will be paid by owner. On May-21-12 at 20:29:03 PDT, seller added the following information: While carpeting is in good condition, the carpeting underneath the rear window will need to be replaced, or the metal just scrubbed clean. Former carpet had to be pulled out. On May-25-12 at 17:29:38 PDT, seller added the following information:Additional pictures of undercarriage uploaded on 5/25/12
