Vehicle Detail
This is a good driving wagon with great patina and lots of character. I have replaced the fuel pump, the waterpump, cleaned the fuel tank, rebuilt the carb, redone the brakes, tuned it up, replaced the front shocks, and driven it 4000 miles since last fall, including a trip to California and back of 2400 miles with no problems. It has a 259 V8 with a working 3 speed overdrive transmission. It does tend to pop out of second on deceleration. It has a 4:10 dana 44 rear axle with twin traction (limited slip). The manual AM radio does work. It does need new front floors and has been repainted at some distant time in the past. As you can see much of the paint has baked away since then. I have had it for 4 years but just started driving it last year. I have a new head liner for it that hasn't been installed. The upholstery is in need of complete replacement as it is cracked, weathered and torn. It has a split reclining front bench seat. It has a new glove box liner. Wipers, lights, heater, cigarette lighter and horn all work as designed. It has a few dings and a couple rust spots in the rear quarters. The tires are in good condition. The engine runs excellent and sounds great. Use it the way it is and go to the ratrod shows or restore it.
