1970 International Harvest Scout 800-A I am the second owner of one of the cleanest Scout 800's you will find. Original owner was from High Country in Oregon. Vehicle has NEVER seen winter road conditions, salt or chemicals. Most scouts have rust in every panel and frame. This scout's frame and body panels look brand new. Rig was painted approximately 17 years ago with Emron paint and still shines and looks fantastic. Truck has been rewired to eliminate Amp meter to reduce risk of fire. Converted to GM 110A internally regulated alternator. All gauges replaced with Auto Meter "Old Tyme" style guages. 33" tires are like new. 304 runs perfect. New Spicer clutch and pressure plate less than 1500 miles ago. Fuel tanks were epoxy coated approx 5 years ago. New radiator hoses. Front end resealed two years ago. Rear seat in perfect condition. Original Radio. No modifications to dash. Front seats are now power and leather from Ford Explorer. Original owner built custom tailgate. Can easily be removed to show the original Scout script by adding exterior panel over outside of tailgate. He was a artist with metal...Vehicle attracts 10X more attention than anything I have owned. Can't go anyplace without people honking or stopping me to talk about the rig. Garage kept for 40 years Vehicle comes with the following spare parts:- Tailgate - Just needs painted to match if you want to put it on. - Spare IH-304 V8 complete with starter, manifolds, etc. Runs great - Spare 2bbl carb - Spare T-19 close ratio transmission - Soft and Hard Top - Hard top will need painted (see Pic) What it Needs: - Brakes need bleeding and rear wheels cylinders need replaced
