I am listing for sale my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am and asking $14,000. It has 81,551 original miles, Olds 403, automatic transmission, black with gold emblems, black cloth interior/gold piping with black carpet, disc brakes, non-power windows/locks. Always covered and garage kept, solid body with no rust. I'm the third owner of this car and purchased it in Alabama a little over three years ago. From what the previous owner told me, it was repainted in the early 2000's, new carpet kit and seats reupholstered at that time. Paint, emblems, seats and carpet are all in excellent condition. After I bought it, I did a complete engine bay restoration. I had the Rochester Quadra Jet carburetor rebuilt, replaced the alternator, battery, starter, heater core, blower motor, water pump, thermostat, intake valley pan, valve cover gaskets, all upper and lower radiator hoses, belts, vacuum lines, spark plugs/wires, installed correct radiator overflow and washer fluid bottles, and removed and repaired a couple small holes in the radiator. What wasn't replaced, I removed/sanded/primed and painted before reinstalling (engine block, intake, valve covers, inner fenders, fan, fan shroud, pulley's, radiator, air cleaner, air cleaner cover ). This car is set up for air conditioning, but there is no compressor. I have everything else for the A/C, including new mounting brackets for a compressor. New windshield also. This is a beautiful car that runs great and I wouldn't be afraid to drive anywhere! I've won a lot of trophies and plaques at various car shows that I've entered it in.
