Up for sale is a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta TDI with a 5spd manual trans. This car was just traded in at a local VW dealer on a new TDI. This car is going to need a little tlc, but can definetly be driven. It could be a great swap car to get a TDI into an older VW. It runs and drives pretty well. It is a little rough right on cold startup, but clears up within about 30 seconds and runs really well. The 5spd trans shifts good (linkage is a bit sloppy but to be expected), and the clutch has plenty of life left in it. The body is what it is. It does have some rust in the rockers, as you can see in the pictures. Also, the rear bumper is damaged, and it appears the car was hit at one time and a trunklid was put on. The trunklid does not open. I'm assuming someone never hooked the linkage up for the trunklid. The interior needs a good cleaning as well.
