Vehicle Detail
1975 Bricklin SV-1, 351 Ford/automatic, air gullwing doors, 16440mi! This is an unrestored good running/driving original Bricklin, #1613. I believe it is 1 of 800 produced in 75', or 1 of 2800 total production 74'-76'. This one is equiped with the air doors and A/C. Has American Racing turbine wheels and near new rubber all the way around. Has been painted white (they came unpainted I've been told) Runs excellent and drives out nice, brakes, lights, guages, etc all work as they should, trans. shifts smooth. Does have the on-board compressor for the doors, the air system does leak down over a couple hrs, so I temp. wired a simple toggle switch under the front bumper to pump it back up, works fine. Body work/plastics are in great condition, no damage or repairs, does have the usual small stress cracks (mostly topside of doors/roof) and a bit of panel warping (like all of them), but nothing terrible, and completely normal. Underside is solid (see pics) was prevoiusly a TX car. Interier is very good, seats perfect, guages good, dash has 1 crack on the dr. side, carpet all there, but loose/dingy. Has a ton (4 full boxes) of extra parts and NEW weatherstripping, 1. new air control board w/ reg., roll of new air line, numourous air conn. and fittings. All new weatherstripping (I believe the entire car's worth) including door/sailwindows/glass. Used, 2 headlight doors, 1 mirror. New body side molding, etc (see pics) . Also comes with 4 big manuals ranging from complete parts diagrams and no#s (itemized, very extensive) to Bricklin Int. books and manuals. -------------------------------Has been obvoiusly stored alot of it's life, but starts right up (1 pump cold, no pumps warm) idles right, and runs out strong. Very small seepage/leaks like any old car, nothing bad, just may leave a few drips on the garage floor..does not smoke (other than old fuel)or make any odd noises, engine sounds perfect. Windows/glass all good, although dr. window likes to get out of track and sometimes needs an extra hand to go up straight. Tune up..could use it, never did it, runs great though...Paint is not recent, shines nicely, but don't expect a show car paintjob...not that it was done poorly, just a long time ago, probobly around the time it was new, I'd say. Bottoms of GW doors...might need a little fiberglass work, they have a few small ragged/jagged spots. Super rare car in driver quality condition, probobly $1000 worth of extra parts/weatherstripping,(if you could even find that stuff..), very low miles and completely original...needs restored or very little light TLC as is. I would recoment trailering home, It will run/drive just fine, but is not inspected or maintained for a trip. Clear, modern, in hand WI title. I've tried to be as accurate as possible, and while beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there may be a small defect or detail I missed, but honestly there will be no surprises or major problems I have not disclosed with this rare Bricklin...it is everything I've claimed it to be...I feel that it is even nicer that I've portrayed it, and well above the average standard ones I've seen for sale. Take a look, ask me any questions, THANKS!!!!!
