I purchased this car in PA in the fall, have been driving it for six months. It's been a consistent daily driver, never any major issues but it does need some work and I've decided to sell it and purchase something smaller... so this car will go pretty cheap. Just be prepared to do some work or to have it done. I believe that I've captured everything re: condition here: The Good:Engine and Transmission are both very strong. It starts immediately, passed California smog, no smoke, runs strong with no missing, no noises that should not be there, compression good. It does not leak oil and uses one quart every 4,000 miles. The tranny has strong shifts, drive train seems like new to me, no issues at all.New tires, all are less than 5,000 miles.New rear brake pads and rotors. Front pads are > 70% remaining.New right front axles.Body straight, no rust except a few small surface spots at the top of the tailgate where it is hinged to the roof panel. Visible but not obnoxious and only on the surface. Minor oxidation in a couple of spots in the engine compartment including on the AC line but no damage anywhere from rust.Interior mostly clean. A couple of tears at the seams in driver's seat, easily repaired without recovering. The left rear seat latch was removed for some reason so that part of the seat does not latch and there is no seat belt for that seat.Oil change 1,000 miles ago, have been regular oil changes since I purchased the car (approx 120,000 miles) but there were no records when I purchased it.Drives straight and true; wheels are all balanced properly so no vibration, no evidence of prior body or frame damage and the car tracks completely true.The paint is good. Some scratches as shown but the clear coat is all good and the pain shines except for the rear bumper.Stereo system is strong, all 100%. Climate control system the same except for AC as noted. Dash and all instruments work as intended.All electric windows and locks work as intended except the right rear door lock sometimes sticks and the driver's door window switch for the r/rear window is inop.Consistently gets 26 MPG on the highway! The bad / needs work:Check Engine light is on. O2 sensor(s) need to be replaced.Service interval light is on, it's a light that is timed based upon mileage. The timing belt and water pump need to be replaced soon. A full timing belt/water pump kit are included; I purchased it but have not put the time in to replacing. Don't wait long for this!The ABS light is on and ABS system does not work.AC does not work. The system is holding freon, I started doing trouble shooting but did not finish. It seems that the problem is the low pressure switch but I won't guarantee that.Steering rack has a slow leak; I drive with it and it's still holding steering fluid for over four months since last top up so I don't think you need to worry about this for some time.The steering column squeeks some times, a particular issue with Volvos. Again liveable.There is a coolant leak, I've not had it diagnosed yet. It is driveable but needs to be repaired. I'm not sure if it is from the heater hose or the water pump... it's something like that and will advise shortly.There has been some damage to the right front fender as shown in pics. A spare tire blew out and took out part of the inner fender well and did some damage to the back of the fender, also took out part of the trim strip as shown. Also damaged the windshield washer reservoir and the washer pump system. I'm not using it now, not sure how much to repair it.The dash makes too much noise when going over bumps, there is excessive road noise as well but not too obnoxious. The inner cover for the trunch hatch is very loose and nearly falling off. It simply needs to be secured. OK that's pretty much it. I'll add anything I can think of over the next few days. The car was not clean when I took the pictures so they are not so flattering. The car is basically in good shape except for the issues. I have clear title and am motivated to get the car moved out quickly so I can move on to the next one. $250 deposit on Paypal is due within 48 hours of auction close, balance in cash or certified funds within one week.
