1948 Studebaker Champion. I will provide a notarized statement with sale of the history of this car from the dealership in '48 to present. It has had 3 owners all in the same family. This car is as original as we could make it. Everything works except the radio. The flathead 6 starts on the first turn every time, and runs great. The transmission is a three on the tree with overdrive. The interior has been redone with seats recovered in as close a material as we could find, new headliner, new carpet, new door sills, etc. The body is straight, the repaint is about 40 years old and has some nicks and scratches (see pictures), there is one dent, it is in the external visor and happened while sitting on a shelf off of the car. The glass is all original and in good condition. Most of the chrome has been redone. The tires are all new and were matched as close as possible to what the car came with. This car has never in its 65 years ever been outside overnight, it has always been garaged, always adult driven, always maintained with whatever service it needed. There are several extra parts that will go with it. ie window winder, carb, license plate bracket etc. (see pictures). There are two pieces of chrome that are missing, they go on the hood, I don't know where they are, but if I come across them while cleaning out the shops I will forward them to you, one says Studebaker and the other says Champion, you can see the holes in the hood where they go. For the last 35 years the car has been in New Mexico and still is, I am not, if you win the bid we will have to make arrangements for me to meet you there for pickup. If you win the car I would like a one thousand dollar deposit into my paypal account and the balance by cashiers check or cash on pick up.
