Vehicle Detail

1997 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 5.0L V8 Powerhouse Auto Trans I have up for auction our Ford Explorer. It is a 1997 Model year built in Kentucky. This SUV has the Eddie Bauer Package. Equipped with a 5.0L V8 it has tons of power. My wife calls it the 'Bat-Mobile" We are expanding our family and this car is no longer suitable for us. it has lots of storage space and a large towing capacity for a vehicle this size. I put a class IV hitch and tranny cooler on it 5 years ago. I have gotten approx 15.7 MPG on average in this car. Below is a listing of the features and all of them work. Leather Seats and Steering Wheel Leather cover on the center console is ripped some ABS Breaks A/C is very cold Automatic Climate control New Heater Core and Air blend door (look this one up on the internet and you will see why having a new one is a big deal) NEW Tires (They are only a few months old and have less than 1k miles on them) Rear Climate controls Rear Radio Controls JBL Audio system with subwoofer Rear door lock switch Rear window defrostrer Rear window wiper and sprayer One Keyless entry remote Keyless entry keypad (Code is in owners booklet) Fog Lights Power drivers seat Power mirrors Diver's Information Center (Shows MPG, Miles til out of gas etc...) Sun Roof Auto Headlights Auto dim rear view mirror Air Bags (Drivers and Passengers) Full size spare tire Chrome Wheels Original factory owners manual packet The condition of the car is very good considering it is 15 years old. There are a few scratches on the outside but nothing really bad. You will find a couple of carpet stains and one of the leather seams on the drivers seat could use to be stitched up (leather not torn, just stitching coming out). The cruise control buttons on the steering wheel have had the rubber covers come off. This is due to the age of the plastic but does not affect operation. The engine compartment is very clean and the car does not leak any fluids. The vehicle does make a scraping noise when turning. This is due to a design flaw in one of the muffler brackets. It rubs on the drive shaft sometimes, but is not a big issue. Below is a list of mechanical things I have done recently (within last year): New Heater Core New Radiator New Water Pump (was leaking slightly, engine did not overheat) New Breaks New Tires New idler pullys New Thermostat I have run a scan tool and there are no pending codes and not set codes. Vehicle reports it is ready for emissions testing. This has been a very reliable car for us. It will make a good car for anyone wanting to tow small trailers and just haul around stuff and people. Please e-mail me with any questions. I have priced this car to sell and am selling it with no reserve. It has a clean title and I have the title in my hands. Thanks for looking!
