This is an extremely rare BMW 2002 tii. 1973 was the last year these famed cars were manufactured with the round taillights. A highly sought after car in the last year of production with a sunroof, what more can you ask for? There were only 7,447 produced in total, roughly 1,000 Tii’s are left according to the registry, how many of them are 73's? This particular car has been owned by the same lady for the past 20 years. With a grand total of $11,332 in receipts the car was definitely kept on the road as a daily driver and maintained along the way. This a completely un-restored and 100% rust free California car. The car comes with both of it's original "blue and yellow" license plates which verifies it's California heritage. The car starts, runs and drives very well. The engine is original and sounds healthy. Shifting through the gears is effortless. She has quite a bit of power and is able to achieve 0-60 in 7.5 seconds according to the specifications. The brakes, steering and suspension operate correctly. Relatively new tires with substantial tread remaining. The manual sunroof opens and closes. The drivers window will need a regulator and once it is down it does not go up without help. Cosmetically the car is very presentable as-is, however it is in need of restoration. The original color "malaga red" is one of the most attractive colors on these cars. The paint is in fair condition having nicks, chips, scratches, fading, etc. The body, chassis and frame are completely rust free. Aside from the obvious damage to the front nose area there are no other dents on the car. All trim, moldings and grilles are present. The interior pictures speak for themselves. Nice Recarro sport seats. The dash has some imperfections but still looks good. The clock, speedometer and odometer do not currently function. So the true mileage of the car is unknown.
