Vehicle Detail

MERCEDES BENZ - CLK 500 NO RESERVE AUCTION - BID IT TO WIN IT For sale: 2003 Mercedes Benz CLK 500 with AMG Sport Package. This car is fully loaded Black on Black with black wheels, black trim, black tint, custom audio, Brembo big brakes, push auto sunshade. In Excellent Shape In/Out and Clean Carfax. Performance - Mercedes world renown 5.0L v8 with Michelin Pilot Sports high performance tires, and Brembo brakes, this thing is a performance driver's delight. The LED tail lights are new, the 6000k headlight bulbs are new (factory xenon package), the LED no-error license plate bulbs are new, the wheels are newly refinished with no curb rash, no scratches, ect. The running trim and grille is blacked out, the interior wood is all black. The car features Mercedes AMG pedals, mats, wheels, and trim package. All exterior amber lense were replaced with the European clear lenses. The car was previously owned by a detective and has a police grade strobe light system and is wired for a PA with a police grade siren under the hood. Also features a fully debadged rear deck lid, 5% tint on all windows, blue Mercedes lighted entry sills... ect. Surely Im missing something. Car has a custom XM radio built into the factory location of the ash-tray, and is completely non-visible when the tray is closed. And, as in the "hardtop coupes" of the past, there is no B pillar. When all four windows are down (power adjustable, of course) there is no post at the center to obstruct vision and fresh air. This gives the CLK a clean look that isn't available in many cars. The B pillars returned to cars because of safety considerations, but Mercedes-Benz has strengthened the A pillar around the windshield and made the entire roof structure so strong that the B pillar isn't necessary. Power reached the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission with Touch Shift, which allows the driver to operate it as a manual gearbox if he or she feels the need for more control. In most of the situations we encountered, the automatic was ideally suited, although we tried the Touch Shift on my favorite winding road just for kicks. Mercedes quotes a 0-60 time for the CLK500 of 5+ seconds, Top speed is electronically limited to 130. Fuel economy is 16 mpg city/23 mpg highway. What makes the CLK500 practical is its ability to carry four passengers in comfort. The rear seat is not an afterthought as in some coupes, or as in the SL-Type sports cars. The trunk is also a decent size, rated at 10.4 cubic feet. With judicious packing, there's room for the luggage of four people. If you can leave the other two at home, the rear seat folds flat to increase capacity. Mercedes has also installed its new-style instrument package in the CLK, with a round speedometer and tachometer and "thermometer-style" fuel level and water temperature gauges. I loved the white-on-black precision-looking round dials. Interior is fitted with super comfortable performance chairs with push button settings, homeline, 6 disk changer, rear console, large trunk. Interior-wise, everything is perfect but the door on one fuse panel is cracked which is not visible in the car. Everything works well, but the sunroof is sloww to open. The LED tail lights sometimes throw up a light bulb burnt out error. I tried to rectify it with a resistor but dont know that it's the right size. The regular lenses with halogen bulbs never had any errors on the dash, so it could just need to be programed for the change in current between the bulbs. I will throw those in if you want them, but they are tinted to almost black and one has a crack. The benz exterior is in truly incredible shape given it's age. It only has two barely noticeable door dings (couldnt even get it to picture) and a couple tiny spots of clearcoat chips on the front bumper, otherwise, its physically very very nice. Original Sticker Price was right about 60,000.00 The car is EXTREMELY fast and fun to drive. With the windows down, it really replicates a convertible with the lack of pillars between the front and rear. We just took a road trip with the car with 4 adults and it was perfectly comfortable for 600 miles spread over 3 days. The mileage will continue to increase as I drive the car to work (80+ miles each day). The car is available to view anytime between now and the end of the auction in Mandeville or New Orleans. If you want to have it checked out prior to bidding, the dealership is about 30 miles away and I can certainly drop it off for a day. Because it is no reserve, please only bid if you intend to complete the sale. The bid is binding and I need a pretty quick turnaround on funds for a home closing. Best of luck and Happy Bidding. I cannot give exact figures, but I just shipped a Jeep from California to Mandeville, LA for around 600 dollars. I will offer 500 dollars towards your shipping costs for any bids over 14,000.00 and can get you in touch with the guy I used who had excellent prices.
