This is a Original California 1969 VW Bug. The car is completely rust free and is an absolute pleasure to drive. The engine was recently rebuilt and runs perfectly (see receipt). The odometer shows 47,111 which could possibly be original based on the originality and overall condition of the car. The body is stunning and all original. There is no rust on the floors, chassis or body. The paint is also original and is very impressive for it's age. There are nicks, chips, and misc minor imperfections. The roof has slight fading in a small area which only adds some character. There are no dents. The car still bears both of it's front and rear collectible "black and yellow" license plates which verifies it's California heritage. Nice original chrome. Gorgeous wheels and caps. Good tires. The engine starts on the first try and sound fantastic. She drives like a dream with no issues. Excellent brakes, steering and suspension. The clutch works very well. Shifts with ease. No gear noise. All gages and instrumentation operate correctly. All electrical and everything under the hood (wiring, glove box, cardboards and wiring is pristine. The car has never been tampered with by an amateur and has only been worked on by VW enthusiasts and a certified classic Volkswagen repair shop. The interior is beautiful. Great carpeting, seats and headliner. All buttons and knobs are present (rare). There is a small tear in the liner below the passenger rear window (see pic). The only thing that is not original about the car is the aftermarket radio. We can find you a stock period radio for $100 if the new owner is interested. This is a wonderful California classic (everyday driver) that should last a lifetime if taken care of like it has been for the last 43 years.
