1968 Volkswagen Classic Beetle Convertible. This a beautiful car: red body, white top, black interior, great running fun car to drive. I have been working over 3 years on restoring this little bug. The car is as original as it came out of the factory, with the exception of old items that were worn out or needed replaceing to make it beautiful. Mechanically, this beetle is almost perfect. It is very easy to drive, shifts perfectly , stops on a dime, steers straight and true - easy to drive - just fun! This is a classic you won't have to worry about breaking down while you're out enjoying yourself. I would not hesitate to drive cross country in it. Tis Volks is from and always has been in Arizona. It is rust free. It doesn't even have any surface rust. Most of the electric on the car has been replaced and works just fine - all lights, turn signals, stop lights, back-up lights, dashboard instruments. Of note: the speedometer works great, the odometer does not work. The milage listed is not true. But by looking at it you can tell the odo has not turned over. New brake flush and new lines, total new tune-up (the carb could use a proper idle speed fix. I just don't know anyone I can trust. It runs just fine however. It has the original radio in it but I don't know if it works. It has a new antenna, but I never put in a speaker to try it. A Partial List of New Stuff: New Paint - Red New Interior to Include: seat covers, door panels, carpeting (the carpeting on the passenger's side was miscut. You might want to have it redone (local upholstery shop) You wouldn't notice it unless you knew about it. New top and headliner. Almost all new rubber. New windshield. New running boards. And others to many to mention. This VW was restored to be a fun, realiable, weekend use "get some sun" car. It was not restored to be a "show" car. It is not perfect, but if you drive it you would think you're driving a new one! If you wanted a show car, you would need VERY little to get it ready! I will gladly assist your shipper on loading the car, however, it will be your responsibility get your own shipper. Do shop - prices vary a lot!
